Hi! I didn’t know it’s possible to get 4A* with less than 270 t-score! Thanks for sharing!

      Congrats to all P6 graduates!

For all mummies and daddies, do continue to post your questions about EL and CL...and I will try to answer them to the best of my abilities. 😊

      Lol

      Amazing isn't it?

The other kid scored 272 with 4A*

I think Tscore depends on how well the whole cohort does for that particular year.

Dear Parents, this is a long story that I've to share with you,

Sob sob ... a real life story that will help assure you that you are NOT alone as a parent with a difficult child;and also perhaps understand what Teacher Thom has to go through sometimes, being \"hated\" and finally being \"acquitted\" LOL
      ...

Dont want to clog up the forum space..ao
If you want to take time to read it, and be inspired, drop me a message. Will show you the full chat history lol

If a child can do a four-fold jump from a C6 Credit to B3 Credit within a couple of months, there is hope for your child too.

Wow! It has been such stressful and exciting times since the release of the PSLE results

Thank goodness my DStudents have achieved at least As for the languages. It has been hard on them, having to burn the midnight oil and doing that one more paper during the last mile.. . but it has been all worthwhile.

I am particularly proud of my special needs student who has also managed to chalk up an A for English. It has been a painstaking journey for him, one that was at times stormy and frequently rocky. But everything turned out fine at the end of the day and that is what counts. Lol

The pressure is on , to select the best fit for the secondary school. This is but the next logical step along their learning journey. With the many choices and considerations, it is certainly a Herculean task to deliberate over the final set of 6...

But if all goes as planned, my 4 students should end up in
      RI,
      SJI,
      ACS Barker
      and Nanchiau High.
Anyone with Ds Dd going there? Do a shoutout so they can be studymates or homework buddies? Lol

The next hurdle for some will be the Os, for others the Y6 exams... Whatevwr lies ahead, let us wish the kids a fruitful learning journey, one that is blessed with a double dose of wisdom and maturity.

For my students, I am especially proud of you and will stay by your side and see you charge ahead to your next finishing line lol

      :congrats:

      Kyee:
      Hi parents

For chinese picture composition, how so will it be considered out of point? My son told me about today's topic and instead of writing about how the wallet was returned to the girl who lost it, he wrote that while she was searching for her wallet frantically while queuing for food, her friends came over and asked her what happened. When she told them she could not find her wallet, they all went back to the basketball court to look for it but to no avail. In the end, her friends bought her dinner instead and she regretted for being so careless and reminded herself to be more cautious in future. Will his story be considered out of point totally? He said no where in the picture showed that someone had intention of returning the wallet to her though the boy queuing behind her with the father was holding a wallet but there was no gesture from the boy indicating that he was trying help or return anything to her. He assumed the boy was queuing to buy food as well with his own wallet. But he told me most wrote the wallet was returned to her. ;(

Your Dd got the topic right, BUT the story wd have been better, of course if there had been a 圆满ending. 😂
sure, the 6th pic was a question mark, which meant that you can find your own suitable ending. Your Dd's answer tt they treated her to a dinner is not exactly unacceptable, BUt
using the visual clues of ic 5, of the boy and a father (是爸爸吗?)? And incorporated them in, that would have been better...

If you are using guided pics, always be observant.

But it is over, don grill him oveer it.
      move on to science. :imcool:

      PSLE 2019 fast approaching...

My DS has improved in Maths and Science under his tutor. He doesnt attend tuition for languages. His languages not great but have yet found the time or tutor or motivation to reschedule stuff around I guess. Tried to get him to self study English but there's always never seems to be enough time. Is the current grades they getting at SA2 an indication of PSLE results? there should still be room for improvements right?
One of the reasons why kids, especually boys, show fast improvement is because
they need methods or techniques. ..

Take for example, synthesis and Transfromation, it is seriously NOT out there, if you stick to a few cold and hard rules.
also, if your DS hasn't already realised,, there are certain shortcutsand spotted qns that he should have at his finger tips. P5 is when S &T strikes hard, with 2 marks per qn., compared to P4.

Think about it, 5 qns. 10 marks in total. EXPENSIVE, YEA. Lol.

As with S & T, every other component has its fair share of techniques and shortcuts.

Thats what I believe in :imcool:

Feel free to pm as I dont wanna get longwinded here hahahah

Hope it was not too stressful for your DD and DS, lol.

Compo turned out to be a breeze for the little ones, thanks to spotted composition topic.

Always helps to have spotted the right question!
Last year's topic was too recent to be repeated, so i came to my one and only conclusion...lol

And Bingo! It was about carelessness!

      Onwards, every PSLE soldier!
