Hihi,
It has been a few years since the last post from a parent.
Any comments/ recommendations for Rainbow Childcare Centre? My bro is shifting to nearby area, looking for a childcare centre to place my nephew in.
Is there any other good childcare in Boon Lay area? Please recommend.
Appreciate your reply.

RE: [Clementi/Pasir Panjang/Sunset Way/West Coast] Preschools
Hi All,
May I ask, do any of you heard about Talent Plus Playgroup at Clementi CC and any of your childern have been there before?
I am interested to enrol my daughter into this playgroup sch as it is very near to her nanny’s house. But centre manager told me that currently they have only 5 children in this sch which makes me wonder why there are such low number of students.
My MIL also told me that the teacher in this sch is not good at all, but I will like to hear from parents who have kids in there or had experience with this playgroup sch.
Thanks. -
RE: 2010 P1 Registration Exercise for 2011 In-Take
Dear all,
Thanks for your comments and assurance that Phase 2A2 is very safe.
In fact, both schools I have in mind are old schools of ours, only that Rulang stands out. Indeed, it is really stressful studying in there, but I think it will be good that the strict teachers can discipline my mischievous son and get him to excel academically. RPS is also good at Robotics, an area I will like my son to venture into.
As for Clementi Pri Sch, I have not heard of much reviews except that its just an average school which is sort of 2nd in line sch in the Clementi estate.
More bonus factors taken in to choose RPS. :celebrate: -
RE: 2010 P1 Registration Exercise for 2011 In-Take
Hi all,
Finally, I have to register my son into primary school this year for 2011 intake.
I am still considering two choices - Rulang Pri and Clementi Pri. Both choices are chosen due to the fact that they are old schs of mine and husband’s. I am staying at central west, and our caregiver, my MIL is staying at Clementi thus I have been always thinking that it will be better for my son to reg into CPS as it is nearer to my MIL’s although it is a neighbourhood sch.
But earlier, I had a chat with my husband, he said if Rulang is much more popular, then get him in, since we can arrange for sch bus to fetch him. Indeed, I will love my son to get into RPS, but he will have to spend more time traveling to get to and fro sch. Although we are still considering as ‘staying in the west’ I am afraid he may feel tired.
I have to reconsider my initial plans and do a more constructive decision. In my situation, any comments on what factors should I consider? TIA. -
RE: Rulang Primary
Hi, I was from Rulang aboout 20years ago. It was already stressful studying there. They are very academic focus and good in Robotics as they always top in Robotics Competition.
Its just too bad I am unable to have my kids in this sch as it will be too far to travel to.
All the best for all your kids! -

yes, I still got my report book. how abt his PSLE Cert? so long as he has any document indicating he is from Clementi North..else he may needs to ge MOE to check if there is any records that he is from Clementi N.[/quote]Hi 2NIce,
Hi 2Nice,VSCL09:

Don't worry, Clementi North Pri merged with Clementi Town Pri and now is known as Clementi Pri. I was previously from Clementi Town Pri and I've checked with the Sch as my girl will be pri 1 next year, both Ex-Clementi North and Ex-Clementi Town are qualify for Phase 2A2. Base on the sch record, I don't think there is a need of joining alumni.
May I check with you, do you happen to still have your report book? My husband lost his, and I have not checked how to go about registering my son in the sch with or without report book. Currently still deciding on about either Clement P, or Rulang P, and possibility of shifting to Clementi or not. Headache...
Thanks for the thinker. I kept thinking of report book, and never switch to think of the PSLE Certificate! What bird brain I have. OK, I do think he will have that. Need to search that out from his cupboard. Thanks so much! -

Luanee:
Luanee, thanks for your reply. I was also thinking of asking my husband to join alumni to have this pc of mind, but his pri has merged with Clementi Pri after he left, thus not sure if its appropriate to join alumni of this sch. I think I will have to contact the sch to check it out. Still planning if I should go for this neighbourhood sch, or Rulang in JW.VSCL09:
One question I have is, is it worth to have my husband to sign up as alumni in Clementi Pri Sch since we can register my son under 'parent is an old boy' scheme. Will he get a chance if we register him under this phrase, or under the other phrase, whereby the parent is an alumni member? We do not stay in Clementi but my PIL are, so we are thinking of arranging for him to attend at this sch.
Old boy + alumni = phase 2A1. Old boy without alumni = 2A2. Based on past years trends, all applicants under both 2A1 and 2A2 get a place in all schools. Hence there is no necessisty to join the alumni actually. But true to the KS spirit, u may want to join to give urself peace of mind in case there is a sudden surge in applications? -
RE: [Clementi] Primary Schools
My son is born in 2004. I wanted to arrange for him to go Nan Hua but we will have to do PV there, thus will be opting for Clementi Primary School instead as my husband was from Clementi North Pri which merged with Clementi Pri some years back.
