My elder son graduated from Bukit Merah Sec in 2014 and now my younger girl is in Sec 1. She is weak in her maths and she in normal (tech) course - Is it true that normal (tech) don't take N levels and go to ITE straight after Sec 5? I am confused. someone please enlighten. thanks in advance.

It’s been a while since I last signed-in. All my 4 children went to ZDPS. My youngest son just finished his PSLE. Though he will be leaving ZDPS, I still have a niece (in P2 currently) and a nephew will be going to ZDPS for P1 next year. It’s not a bad school. The only thing is the admin staff …The best part is within walking distance from my mother’s house. So a lot of time is saved on travelling to school.

I have 4 kids. All my 4 kids went to Zhangde Primary. I chose this school for my kids is because its near & convenient (within walking distance from my mum’s house). Two elder ones have already graduated and now left with no.3 (P6) & no. 4 (P5). Even my niece is in there (P1) now.

I am a mother of 4 - 17yo, 16yo, 11yo & 10yo. Both of us are working full-time. I am glad and lucky to have my mum help me look after all my children. They have been staying at my mum's place for ease of travelling to school (walking distance). We only fetch them back on weekends.

We are driving a 7-seater MPV cos we often invite my parents to join us for outings and dinners. :rahrah: :rahrah:

I do recycle some assessments cos sometimes they pick and choose topics to do and during revision time - I will ask them to try and do those uncompleted pages.

I have tried Brandt and Electrolux brands. Personally I would prefer Electrolux brands. But nowadays, the parts are manufactured in one place and assembled in another place. So like Electrolux, the parts are produced in Thailand while assembled elsewhere; while Brandt is a French brand. As I depend on dryer a lot, so getting a good and lasting machine is important. So far these two brands have sustained their machine life cycle fully. No regrets getting these two brands.

How you all to settle maids’ food ? Do you let them cook their own food ? Do you let maid to eat on the same table? Do you let maid prepare their own "grocery - list "?

Where is maid sleep? with children ? I am thinking to build a hidden bed for the maid in our toy room … as our house is only 4 room flat…

Hi I used to have a maid from Indonesia. She has since gone back after working with me for more than 4 years. Lucky for me, she was the "kuai kuai" type and gives you the due respect type. She also eat what the same type of food and ate with us at the same table. She shared the same room with two of my children.

The only rule that I applied on her was that I do not allow her to go out on her own. She’s never alone in the house. She has no off days and no handphone. It was stated in her contract since day one of her contract (before the mandatory rule for off days was implemented). We do allow her to call back but she seldom called back to her hometown initially. She even did not go back on home leave when her first contract (2year) finished.

Getting a good and obedient maid is sometimes depends on your luck as well.
