Answering to your qn : Both my DS n DD enjoyed the benefits of Dsa (without Gep). Going thru the process makes me understand how disadvantaged some kids are due to lack of parental involvement.

I believe most of us KSP here are truly the ones who prepared the docs and prepared your chilld.

It is just purely my personal opinion that I think it will be a fairer education system to scrap Dsa. I believe this topic was started for discussion therefore U Do not need to question me whether my kid got Dsa .... It's :offtopic:

Scrap all DSAs including the Geppers! Be fair to all kids and instill in them that hardwork is needed to get u where u want to go. All these Dsa r driving parents crazy and the kids feeling so helpless (the unfairness of some selections and empty promises given). The school wants us to put them as 1st choice but in the end we feel :stupid:

Back to basics and let your score determine where u go. This will eliminate the unneccessary elitism among these 12 year olds.

Sad to say but my DS's spoken Eng gets bad everytime he returns to school after the long holiday breaks.

I think our kids r just too busy n stressed that they do not have the energy, time and mood to put in extra effort to speak properly.

Worse still, he comes back saying that classmates get punished even if they whisper in class, how will our next generation ever learn to communicate. They r just trained to churn out exam papers after exam papers :?:
