RE: Anglo-Chinese School (Independent)
Hi appreciate some info and advice. My son is in y2 and managed pretty decent results for midyr ie above 75%.
How wld Hast, cca achievements, yr 1 results weigh for y3 ip consideration?
What kind of gap wld there be between a new and other existing ip students who is used to accelerated learning in y3? Dont want him to feel demoralised at bottom of class.
How do xpress students entering ip y3 fair in perform?
If he is not as strong in eng and literature, wld it advisable to remain in xpress?
How many ip places will be offered to acsi y2?

Hi, hope this is not too late for you. Got this operator's namecard while passing the gate on reg day. Jonathan Chan hp 94743637; Lim kok How hp 92376510. All the best!We contacted the school bus operator during registration day but they never get back to us.
Called the school and the admin staff says there is no official school bus for ACSI.
So those people who set up shop during registration day are private operator and not official school bus operator.
Anyone has their contact number ? -
RE: Anglo-Chinese School (Independent)
I agree with that, if only time commitment can allow enough time for rest and homework etc, I imagine there's alot to adapt in initial secondary school life and curriculum for our 'little' ones.
Mummy must learn to let go....:) -

Tssss....But my son didn't get in thru dsa sports... Certainly hope they can review the uniform cca for those who select sports as other cca. :siao:zannelee:
Can anyone share if it is non negotiable to take a uniform grp. I thot it is very taxing to take some sports eg golf plus a uniform cca? This can drain the time left for academic.
I asked a teacher that question and he said that if you dsa'd in via sports, there is a possibility of exemption, coz training for those would of course take up a lot more time, esp those that are playing at the national level. -
RE: Nan Hua High School

:thankyou: OICzannelee:
My son got 250 and interested in nan hua. I m thinking of RV as first choice (last yrs COP was 253). He did not do HMT in PSLE. His Chinese is not strong but he managed A. He said RV 80% gals. Hope to hv some views on 1) Risk of putting RV as 1st choice 2) Will he be out of place due to Chinese in RV or Nanhua 3) How about his chances if ACS Indept is first choice instead of RV? Appreciate. Tsss.
250 should have no problem getting into Nan Hua and ACSI (express).
From the Nan Hua thread they do have normal chinese classes, not necessary must take HCL.
Most co ed IP schools have much more girls than boys.
RV, DHS, NJC all the same. -

Noted wif ts. Based on what I found in its website. The L1B5 is phaps band 4 based on ave 13.6.zannelee:
Would anyone hv info on the O Level banding of ACS I? Tq.
Schools offering IP are excluded from the banding exercise. -
RE: Nan Hua High School
(1) For t-score 250, if we indicate nanhua as second choice, is there an almost certain probability to get in if first choice rejected?
(2) To add on, if we are given our first choice but change our mind after posting, is there a good chance to appeal to nanhua?
Tsss.
