Using Relative's Address & Statutory Declaration

Thanks both. If those are the rules, then nothing much one can do.
I know there are loopholes in the system that a lot of people try to take advantage of. But, just feel abit unfair for those who will be genuinely looked after by the grandparents after school.
Thanks again for taking the time to try to explain this. -

You may want to try your luck in July and see if MOE approve your statutory declaration. I do not know if this year the rules will change or not too. Mayb you can email to the customer service and check. Thanks both. If those are the rules, then nothing much one can do.

Appreciate if you could keep us updated as I am facing a similar situation.
Thanks. -
Ok. kaypoh me as I’ve a nephew in the same situation who is registering this year.
I actually called MOE customer service and enquired about the specific situation where the child is in full day child care and taken care of grandparents in the evening.
They said the child is still eligible for statutory declartion so long as the grandparents is taking care of the child on a full time basis (I specifically clarified that child is in full time cc) and they said yes even though child is in full day cc, so long as being taken care of full time, they qualify. Key thing is grand parent is not employed.
For those in this situation, you might want to call MOE directly to clarify rather than speculating here. -
anyone know if me and my hb’s address is different, is there any impact for P1 registration?

Alot of people said there is and it should be the same. But I have a friend and her address is different from her dh's. They used dh's address for P1 registration it seems to be fine. -

This is certainly good news. But I was just wondering why earlier in this link if you move backward to read one post, it mentioned that the statutory declaration was rejected even though the child in full day CC and taken care by grandparents.Ok. kaypoh me as I've a nephew in the same situation who is registering this year.

Don't call. Email them instead so that you get it in black and white.

I called MOE yesterday and was told that recent employment letter has to be endorsed within this year! HR need to prepare recent employment letter for you if you are one of those using statutory declaration.
It’s not on the spot approval at MOE for statutory declaration too. They will post to us.
Can anyone share what I heard from them is what you heard from them too?
