      phtthp:
Thank you very much for your valuable feedback, ngl2010.

I agree with you that the teacher in the Kumon centre teaching our child is important. I once pulled my child out of one Kumon centre for Chinese (not Maths), because I find that teacher too fierce.

But I must say that their Kumon Chinese worksheets are very comprehensive & good. In fact, I have a friend whose child from a sap school attend only Kumon Chinese enrichment (no other Chinese enrichment), and she has been coping well in Chinese, now in a sap secondary school now also no issue.

      Ps: I sent u a pm
It is something I regret. At that time the Principal recommended us to enrol our son in Chinese too saying that Kumon Chinese is more difficult than school level so if can handle Kumon Chinese definitely can handle Chinese lesson in school. At that time we thought the primary school will be enough to teach him. So now our son has difficulty in Chinese :faint: We regretted we didn't enrol our son in Kumon Chinese too. It is too late now :slapshead:

Ps: I have replied your pm.

          Hi ilovechubby

Thanks for sharing. I am also concerned about the amount of homework too. Bringing my son for diagnoistic assessment and hv better understanding of their program first.

Is yr DS attending other math enrichment concurrently?
          Hi KiddyLow
No my DS is not attending any other math enrichment - however, I am still contemplating if I should continue his Kumon when he reaches P1 or enroll in a math tuition centre that follows MOE syllabus, like his elder bro did.

              Hi KiddyLow
Based on what i understand, they will usually start the kid at a level that they are familiar with so as to build up their confidence and train their speed and if the kids can do the sums within their stipulated time, they can move up (the level) q fast.

Wef september 2013, Kumon going to increase school fees!

Is v ex, because most of the time is the parents who supervise the kid’s learning at home.
Pupil just go there collect worksheets to do at home.

There is little teaching, yet they are increasing fees.
Increase from $120 to $140 per month.
