How about SHBTB ? (School house By the Bay .. altho i believe there should be a waitlist )

Pardon me but when u say your daughter can't wake up early morning, do u mean your daughter sleep til 11am sort (thats y can only attend school starting 1pm?) I hope not. If really so , u might want to start \"conditioning\" her by waking her up earlier. Just a suggestion.

However , if she is able to wake up by 10am, most (church) kindergartens have \"PM session\" starting 11.30 am - 2.30 pm ... u may wish to try. Or, you may try Kinderland at Marine Parade or Brighton Montessori at Frankel too 🙂

Good Luck in your kindergarten search 🙂

            Hi Bee,

I’ve finally decided to enrol my son at Kyra, simple reason being the most accessible location for my mum, within walking distance.

As my son just turn 2 years old, we are still not comfortable to let him take the schoolbus yet.

I also like the Seimpi music lesson that they have once a week, plus they are introducing speech and drama by hua language next year.

Initially we are pretty set on Yuquan, but their fees are really horrendously high - abt $750 after subsidy… and I’m not sure if they are good at english and other areas besides chinese.

Anyone can share experience with PCF Geylang Serai Blk 31? My son goes to this school for N2.

When i casually chat with the principal to understand more about what will be taught in the school, her answer is always UNKNOWN.

I knew that they will be learning letter sound for N2. I just tried to find out whether will they be learning blending too.

She replied: dun know. depends on the child.

When asked how many outings for N2 per year, can parents participate?
She replied: Yes, we have outings, location not sure, all depends.

I asked: What did N2 go last year?
She replied: I am new here for few months.

Next thing in my mind is Does my son enters the right school?

She seems not really interested to answer parents queries.

Anyone has experience with this school? Appreciate your feedback.

                  Hi Dee,

Hope that your son had settled down in Kyra. Just for your infor, both Bus Uncle and Auntie are very nice couple. So you don't have to worry.

                        Hi Bee,

I've paid my fees, to secure a place for my boy, but will only be starting in March. It's within walking distance, so no need for bus! feel better this way too cos my boy is quite hyperactive, and still not very comfortable letting him take a transport on his own. 🙂

Did you let you child try the Sempini music lesson? I'm thinking of trying that once my boy settle down in the school, he love music..

Just that i know for the toddler class, they are having a new teacher to come in Jan, so hope she is a caring teacher.. crossing my fingers.

                        Hi Mac,

The fees are very reasonable - after subsidy flexi hour 8amto530pm is about $380/ half day about $420. Just felt the deposit is a little too high though - at $600+. Got to pay a $50 for uniform, and mattress i think another fee (cant rmb how much).
