Marymount Convent has 41 children registered in Phase 2Cs vying for 25 vacancies. 16 children will have to be balloted out. I didn't expect Marymount Convent to have so many applicants.

Schools to watch in future, based on this year’s P2CS exercise:

Townsville, Bedok Green, Opera Estate, St Anthony’s Canossian, Bukit View, CHIJ Kellock, Gan Eng Seng, Bukit Timah, Concord, Unity, Clementi, Qifa, Canossa Convent, Punggol, Pioneer, Xingnan, Bendemeer, Tanjong Katong, Casuarina, Elias Park, Edgefield, New Town, Wellington, Palm View, Seng Kang, East Spring, Junyuan, Marymount Convent, Woodlands, Ahmad Ibrahim, Huamin, North View.

Future parents may want to register under 2C instead of risking a ballot. Lol.

All eyes will be upon principal of pei Chun (mdm ler) now.

            http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pei_Chun_Public_School

Policies for primary 1 registration in any country, are policies after all.
            Strict Compliance !

Should there be any vacancy that arise after entire p1 registration is over, she should give priority to Singaporean kids on the wait list - those from phase 2b, 2c who failed in balloting. As a school principal, she is aware of where the priority ought to go to, first.

But if his son has already been converted into sg citizenship, then it may be possible. Also put on waitlist, for transfer.
In all likelihood, his son holds dual citizenship. So, he will be part of the SC cohort.

Assuming the report is true, his \"interview\" in Singapore is to waitlist his son in Pei Chun. If he gets the place, he will be in Singapore to process the application (a process consistent with all waitlistees, no?).

No where in the report has a quote by the P or the school saying that he has the place, or did he himself mention that he already has the place. It's all quoted by \"people in the know\".

It's a tabloid for goodness sake. There's a lot of truth mix in with the half-truths. DRUMS don't just exist in cyberspace only, if you know how \"news\" (especially in HKG) reporting works.

Hong Kah - 150 places, only 23 filled after 2C. In P2CS, 127 places avail, ZERO filled.

Worst pri sch in the nation? The principal should be sacked.

When I called at 4pm, the lady said, its 30 vs 17 seats for more than 2km.
There were only 8 staying less than 2km. So given total number is 41, there were 3 more who came to register from 4-430pm. But I dont know these 3 stay which distance category.

If it's more than 2km, then is
                  33 vs 17 seats

If it's less than 2km, then is
                  30 vs 14 seats..

This is similar to what I went thru balloting in phase 2c at another sch where
                  26 ballot for 10 seats.

                    Ryes,

Did you ask canossa admin clearly -
Does this 41 include or exclude pr?

                    If include, you're safe.
But if exclude, ie all 41 sc - then need to ballot.

Hi Sembgal and phtthp and lovinglife,
                    41 includes the PR.
There were 36 SC, 5 PR. total 41 in all.

                    When I registered,
There were 34 SC, 8 PR. I know 1 PR withdraw, coz I spoke to her and she did the withdrawal on the spot. So that makes it 7 PR. So another 2 PR came and did the withdrawal, bringing down the number to 5 PR, which they didnt manage to come in time to do the withdrawal.

Came along 2SC, so total SC is 36SC and there were 36 vacancies. It's a just nice cut off for all of us.....

                        Dear Ryes,

Congrats! You finally can heave a deep sigh of relief!

Canossa will be a wonderful school for your gal and I'm sure you've researched and chosen the best for her for phase 2CS! And if your 1st choice school calls, that'll be a bonus!!
                        Hi hi lil_jade,
How did it go for your fren? Which sch did your fren go to register at?
