Put her in RGPS since the school is only 1km away so that it will be easier when come to CCA and extra classes. \"guai\"??? Hahaha!!! Not so, at least for my dd. But she is very vocal and dare to express her unhappiness on things she doesn't like. The school is also a very good environment for learning English.

Last but not least, your grand-daughter can register under phase 2A (if MOE still stick to the current system) if your daughter is an old-girl.

Hi, I'm also registering my girl this year and still debating which of the 2 schools I should apply:

      1) River Valley Primary (phase 2B)
      2) Raffles Girls (phase 2C within 1km)

What do you think of these 2 schools? I've heard a lot of good comments on raffles but i also heard the teachers in top schools don't really teach and it's the parents/tutors who's doing the job. Which school provides a better choice of CCA? Also, do all-girls' schools provide a better learning envrionment (i heard the girls from raffles are very \"guai\").

I'm considering RVPS as i have a son born in 2006 so a co-ed school wud be more convenient. Besides, my boy is not the agressive type so he might get pushed around in a boys school. Was considering Nanyang at first but give up as balloting required even within 1km in 2C.

Thanks in advance for your opinons!

Perhaps try Phase 2B in RVPS so that next time your 2nd child you won't have to face the stress again. :celebrate:

            Hi hi,

I had tried to read all the posts for the whole day & I am going so .... My boy is in Holy Innocents now & my gal is due to registration this yr.... I am really in delimma. Should I go under Phase 1 or should I try CHIJ Nativity which I am within 1km or even further schools under beyond 2km which I may not get any chance at all?

            ANyone can advise? :?:

It’s that time of the year again when parents have to worry and shortlist the schools for their little ones.

              Titank,
I can safely put my daughter in CHIJ Toa Payoh under Phase 2A2.
              Thanks for your precious advice.

Now is to prepare her for P1.

IMO, parents who are registering their child this year, but only start to shortlist the schools now, are not kiasu enough .... too late for Phase 2B.

                😄

The problem is you're never 100% sure what's best for your child till the last minute. Even if you've decided on a school, after you've heard other voices from different people, you start to wonder if that was the right choice. Too many things to consider: convenience, logistics, academic records, school reputation, school culture, etc etc. Sometimes I think I might be less stressed if I were less kiasu 😢

there is no such thing as absolute best choice. Once choice is made, be happy with it. Else, even when you child started schooling there, you will still be comparing. :celebrate:
