      sweetbaby:
      Hi

anyone gives their kids supplements to regulate their bowel movement? I saw online thats there's chewable fibre pill or chewable gentle laxative. I'm very skeptical. My almost 3 yr old always constipated this few months although he eats fair amt of fruits/veg and drinks lots of water. Could it be that i'm easing off his milk intake?
sweetbaby, like you, i'm sceptical about over-the-counter laxative. Would you try papaya or dragon fruit for DC? 😉 The latter works well for my gals although if you're taking the red dragon fruit, must warn you in advance that the bowels seem fushia sometimes...natural colour...don't fret!

I have read from another mother that butter is a natural laxative. Just give a small lump to be swallowed whole. - SK

Tried papaya and dragonfruit, little success. The butter method sounds interesting. Will try. Thx.

Anyone can advise what is the different between DHA and code liver oil?

I only know DHA is for the brain and what about the code liver oil.

            thanks

SSSdarlings, giving a whole bottle of chicken essence may be very heaty (I myself find it so, and some of the people I know also say so). Perhaps you want to try out 1/3 or 1/2 bottle, mix with some water?

Nutrilite products are good (but can be more ex than commercial brands) - as in they give a clear explanation of their sources, so at least one is sure of the safety.

Thank you for your suggestion. Where can I find info about Nutrilite pdts?

You can get Nutrilite products from anybody who is an Amway distributor. As for the price, there is some that are more ex than those on the shelves but not all, depending on the brands you are comparing them with. For myself, I only trust this brand simply because till now, this brand is the only one that grows, harvest and process their own products, as certified by a 3rd party, namely Euromonitor and won Reader’s Digest trusted brand award several times. I did my homework cos i was searching for supplements to feed my 3 kids and these are what I have found out.

Anyone heard of/ use Mannatech products? They also harvest their own ingredients among others.

I agree with schellen. Strictly vit c does not seem to build that much of an immunity. Have to top up with probiotics or other supplements.

                        hi, i relatively new here.

My 6 & 2 yr old boys has been on a probiotic called \"BioGaia\" (bought from KKH pharmacy) for the last 6 months, seems to help build up their immunity as they seldom falls sick nowadays.

The BioGaia probiotic is actually a lemon flavoured chewable tablet, which my 2 boys enjoy as they think it is a sweet! haha

but i'm just wondering if i need to top it up with Vit C for better effect? if yes, which brand do you all recommend?

would really appreciate any comments....cheers 😉
