You can try asking the staff there or your child's trainer. I wonder if the service at the shop has improved... 🙂

There are some free christmas stuff to print for practice at home. They are a good change from the usual mandalas...here's the link:

My kid has just completed his Shichida IQ test. I would like to understand what is the average score for such IQ test at Shichida.

Kindly share the score if your kids have taken similar IQ test at Shichida, this will be used as reference only as we are contemplating whether to continue his Shichida class.

Hi, I just wonder if it is necessary to conduct IQ test? How would our little ones feel if their score are "not as good as" others? How will you take it?

I have a neighbour who has a twins, they have been focusing all their effort on one and not the other, bec, one is "smarter" than the other. IMMO, we should not do that, expecially, tell that to all others that one of them is smarter than the other.

My son is in Little Neuro Tree, so far no such test.

What type of IQ test do they do? I am on the waiting list for the shichida class. They don’t have many classes for kids age 5. My colleague sent his boy to the class and his boy enjoys the class so much. Hence, I am intrigued to know why, you might pull your child out of the class after the IQ test. Hope to hear various opinions before spending so much for the classes. Thanks.

It's quite difficult to get the avg score cos we are talking about mental development and how well they listen to instructions . Based from a mommy feedback in the 4yo's junior class, few of her daugter's classmates have scored Normal intelligence.. However, a boy in that class has a score rated him as genius (above 140).

IQ score can be easily affected by the mood of kids. My 4yo daughter managed to get a genius rating but has a couple of older kids in the same class whom i think scored better .. ..Besides, parents don't know what type of IQ test is used to test the various age groups. Therefore, on a happy side that i'm glad my child is confident enough to be alone with the teacher to take the 20 mins test and still feel happy about it.
My girl has been with shicida for close to 3 year. Mental development takes time to show desire results.

What's the reason for pulling the kid out of shichida ?

My boy got an IQ score of 170 when he was tested by Shichida a few years ago.

I dont think the score is accurate.

No doubt he is quite smart, but a score of 170 ? Unlikely lah !!!May be their definition of IQ is different.

By the way, a boy in the same class as him also get around that score.

                    Hi

I have 2 girls with the Shichida Method. I would like to share why I continue letting them go at the expense of tightening a lot of belts.

They have shown impressive memory skills and ability to grasp concepts well and fast. They are also better at using their fine motor skills. They have no problem going to other classes and interacting with other adults or children. They are very confident and are interested and positive in alot of things. I get very positive and good reviews from the pre-school teacher and I feel happy that they enjoy going to school.

As for me, I have learnt never to compare my kids with other children. I have learnt to show them unconditional love and concern. I have learnt to ask them "What fun did you have at school today?" instead of "How many marks did you do for your lessons?"

I am surprised by the ideas that they show me at the lessons weekly. They are able to make every thing fun. Be it science, maths, language, etc. every thing is a game, everything can be hand made.

Personally I am not a creative mum and I can’t think of the ideas that they have shown me.

My main purpose as a parent is to make sure that my kids have a good foundation and will find life "easier" in school.

My kids are not geniuses. I have seen kids with potential so much more than them. I have seen parents who have gone the extra mile to nurture them and seen parents who have not.

I just want to be able to answer to my kids without guilt that I have done my best as a parent for them.

                    Hope this helps.

                      Hi,

Just to add to what some parents have said, I find that the the kids come out very interested to learn more and are more creative, I might not have seen a lot of academic improvement but I think if everything is solely based on results, it is also very stressful for the kids…I know of some friend’s kids who improve after they go for the ‘drilling’ kind of tuition but after that, they get very stressed and also keep requesting to drop out of tuition…

                      Just some thoughts on this:)
