• RE: All About Vacuum Cleaner
The rainbow salesman is very well trained. He even showed me how to use the vacuum to unclog sinks! However, I tried the same method vacuuming mattresses and sinks with my powerful but much cheaper LG machine and it worked too. Eventually, I decided to stick with my Karcher steam cleaner and LG vacuum. Same effect, more specialised machines, much cheaper, less bulky.

Separately, on these robotic vacuums-how do they deal with stairs? Are they able to recognise steps and navigate without committing suicide plunging down?!
you unclog sink by just using the vacumn cleaner to suck the dirt upn?

• RE: Microwave oven- get it or not?

coolbaby:
We used to have microwave oven but we gave away after hearing it's bad. But that was more than 10 years ago. We just don't want to take the chance.

We love our Philip airfryer. it's one of the best buy we ever have. We use it almost everyday. We heat up, defroze, cook, bake.... almost everything. when we cook salmon straight from the freezer to the airfryer. We also tried baking bread and cake too. Recently, from FB sharing, it can cook prawn Omelette and sweet potato too.

One of the disadvantage is that it's quite small. Another disadvantage is that it's quite difficult to wash the mesh/basket, so to minimise the washing, we usually cook using a metal plate šŸ™‚
wow so many uses. my airfryer is only used fro seaweedchicken.

Hi, I have used both iclebo and irobot. Irobot seems to clean better. ( but that could be also because irobot runs longer and hence it could have run over a spot a few times , hence cleaner). Iclebo takes shorter time to charge, so if u need to run it a few times a day, it is more handy.

Another product that you might want to consider is iscooba. It mops the floor. And it felt super clean after the mopping. But this one is more troublesome as you need to fill up and empty the water after each run. Also, each charging takes 4 hours.

I bought my iclebo and iscooba from this parallel importer, much cheaper.

After sales service is not bad too.

BB KS mummy:
Hi all bravo mummies out there,

I enjoy reading this thread v much. Hv decided to send my Myanmar maid next Mon!! Yeah!! After 13 yrs of employing maids, a FTWM like me is fearful of having to cope with 2 kids (age 12 & 13) yet looking forward to the new found privacy. Thks all mummies out there for the valuable info abt iRobot, shoe cleaners, toilet cleaners etc.

I am ready to invest my $$ in gadgets like iRobot (still hesitating between Roomba 770 and iclebo and would be glad if mummies out there can give me sm advice) and had placed my orders on Chem Free and going to get the shoe cleaners from Bata.

As for dinner, I thinking of trying Tingkat. Any mummies there hv any good recommendations?

I am also going try the part-time cleaners for a start so that at least things will not get too stressing for me. Will appreciate if any mummies can recommend. Thanks!!

Icebo mop feature is more show only, totally useless. It is just a piece of small micro fiber cloth attach to the bottom. how much can it do?

We have removed it. Just use it for vacumning.

Between icelbo and irobot, my personal feeling is irobot seems to make the floor cleaner. (But I might be wrong, because it is not a side by side comparison)

But good point of iclebo is that it charges faster than irobot, which means you can let it run more rounds per day.

By the way, for mopping, I would recommend iscooba. Make the floor super nice to step on.

I wld recommend a spin mop to mop the floor. I hv a iclebo for abt half a yr and so far so good. I was hesitant to buy a vacuum robot at first cos compared to sweeping, it is really not green but I relented eventually I really don't hv the time. I can only say sorry to mother earth.I thought of buying a dish washer for a long time but again can't bring myself to, eventully bought a stool high enough to sit and wash my dishes.

Hi, how is the mop feature of the Icebo? Is it too troublesome to change water? Kindly share your experience with Iclebo.

Which spin mop did you buy? Bought one from a hypermart, but the mop does not seem to rid itself of the water after the spin. Where did you buy yours from? Brand? Price?

Thanks!

clk:
I know some of you find me very protective, actually before I read the sms that my son sent to the teacher, I already agreed with the cane punishment, as I said make mistake must face it and learn fr mistake and don't do it again.... But this time the case really not as simple as it is...if just make a mistake, get punishment is normal, but now is affecting live of my son and his future development, can I ignore and leave him alone???

I dont think u are over protective. If everything is as what you said, then I will behave the same way too. I will not let them cane my son under the same circumstances. I think the school is overdoing it. Caning in public should be reserved for more serious offence, eg, fighhting. The school has nothing better to do, hand itchy ?

How you solve the different voltage issue ?

Jack89:
I bought the http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0055HSEOC/ and just received it today.

http://i40.tinypic.com/2hs7trb.png\">
Price was £181.70 (Item+Express Shipping) = SG$350~

This is still cheaper than the equivalent kenw**d or br*ville breadmakers sold in Singapore and only 50bucks+ more than the Z0ji.

My main concern is the lack of warranty and repair options for panny BM in Singapore.

I will try to test and bake with it as intensively as possible within the next couple of weeks. (Amazon allows exchange/return within 30days)

I am a vegetarian (I abstain from eggs but can take milk), so any egg-less recipes or baking tips would be appreciated~!

SCS:
Hi Mummy,

Anyone here have any vacuum cleaner robot at home? I'm planning to buy one and don't know which to buy. So far, i have narrow down to Samsung Navibot 8980 which can auto empty it's rubbish when its full. It cost $1099. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2X5g8_xmmc0
Anyone have an alternative suggestion?
Hi I bought a iclebo arte recently. Felt that it does not clean as well as irobot , which I had previously. But its good points are that it takes shorter time to charge and it can run longer after each charge. For my machine, sometimes it cant go back to the base by itself. I am not sure if it is because my floor area is quite big.

Another machine I boughht is iscooba, the mopping sister of irobot. This one I like it because it makes my floor very nice to step on. But bad points :

- it takes four hours to charge
- need to change water and clean the water tank , ie more work between the runs
- when there is a stair/step, it can go over too much , and doesnt know how to move back, hence get stuck and stop
- it sometimes stop intermittently
