CloverLover:
I didn't go. My hubby went. So one of the dad is him.
Glad to hear that !jesyeo:
Oh Yi Qing. My gal often mentioned her to me. She told me she is her best friend and they often played together. Your gal is sitting in front of her.
Anyone went to the Parents Meet?
Saw many parents in Integrity, mostly mums, only a few dads.
Seems like Fennie is very enthusiastic in teaching.
He din feedback to me much on Fennie. Glad to hear that she is enthusiastic in teaching.
Did you manage to talk to the form teacher after the briefing ?
Would you like to exchange contact so that we can create a chat group in Whatsapp. -
Nice meeting my galโs Form Teacher, all the mummies & daddies in the classroom.
I find the session very informative & allows me to have better ideas on the going ons & activities at school. -
Yes, chosun . Looks like the gals are given lots of other exposure and not just to emphasize on academic. And apparently the principal is reading the forum too. Haha!

Oh yes, teachers, principals, MOE HQ staff, maybe Govt officials also read this forum. I'm not surprised they follow up on this forum too.
So far, my dd is blessed with a very confident, well-groomed, experienced, firm and enthusiastic form teacher. My dd adores her form teacher greatly because according to my dd, her form teacher's lessons are so much fun and interesting and most importantly, she says she has a pretty teacher to look at. :rahrah:
However, my dd commented she does not like her co-form teacher's lesson because it is boring and she is too strict. Moreover, her face is :yikes:
But anyway, my dd looks forward to seeing her form teacher every day, even saying that she misses her form teacher on weekends :please: This is a positive sign. When a child likes her form teacher, she will put in effort to pay attention in class and learn.

Wishing all Marymount parents a very happy Chinese New Year!!! Huat ah!!!
IM v proud to say tat putting my gals in Marymount has been a great decision. It is a sch wif a heart. I have a fair share of trs which I din like, in case u tink IM in any case bias in my judgement.
E principal IMO is pretty gd. Every since she took over, i can c many changes. Fr e type of food sold in canteen to strong emphasis on a holistic education.
Last yr, my elder gal had v dedicated form tr (Mrs Lim) and MT tr (Mdm Yao). IM truly grateful for eir constant feedbk.
Last fri wen I met my P1 gal's form tr, we casually mentioned abt e awful bus driver and she really took note. Called me yday to get more details and VP called me tis AM to find out more too. Wif trs, VP and P being so concerned abt issues concerning our gals, I honestly believe my gals R in gd hands. It did cross my mind to trf my gals if opportunity arises. Due to PSLE stress, I will prefer a sch wif affiliated sec sch. Towards e end of last yr, i have changed my mind.
For parents whose 1st choice is not Marymount, I will urge u to gif tis sch a chance 2 c how our gals can blossom. Wif right communication and a willingness to work wif e sch, I believe our gals can thrive in this sch.

:rahrah: I applaud the school's effort for sustaining an active Parent Support in Marymount Convent School. :grphug:
However, after I opened the email which the school sent out, I cannot access the online survey. Then I discovered that if I copy the whole link and paste it onto a new page, I can access the form.

I am very pleased that Marymount Convent School has adopted Learnlogy.com (formerly known as Problemsums.com) for all pupils for the year 2014.
Learnlogy.com is a self-directed learning Mathematics website specially designed for Primary school pupils in Singapore. Created by a group of professional school teachers, there are 53 460 questions with detailed worked solutions. Step-byโstep explanations for all the questions are closely adhered to the MOE syllabus using heuristics, models and diagrams. An on-line teacher, AVATAR, will read and explain all the questions and solutions.
The questions are grouped into practices and tests. With the auto-marking feature, pupils can master Mathematics skills at their own pace. Other exciting features include the 8pm Race, Halls of Fame, Homework Setter, Homework Schedule and Quiz Maker, etc.
In addition, http://www.lead.com.sg is another platform for parents to tap on for their children's e-learning.
Chinese ๅฅฝๆๅ was introduced to the P1 children too.
:thankyou: Marymount Convent School
