Hi luckymum, my girl is studying at Choa Chua Kang Bible Centre Kindergarten. It is opposite Da La Salle primary school. So far, I’m satisfied with the school. When she was studied at Tulip Montessori, she could hardly speak and understand Mandarin so she didn’t her lesson there as most of the time, the teachers speak Chinese (wonder where is the English teacher!!!) and after that I put her at CCK Kindergarten at N2, her Mandarin improve alot and after 3 months, she could communicate with my mum in Chinese and with us in English. It is a Christian school so they will teach the children prayer and read them bible stories…

              Hi dilshamum,

My kid is currently in Tulip Montessori, their fee is around $1500 per term (10 week each). They don't have the normal school holiday, so they have classes throughout the year. But their intake is quite small, children of various age group are taught together in 1 class. They do prepare for primary one. I am quite impressed with their Chinese lesson where they taught writing, poetry recitation, etc.

You can give a call to them and arrange to visit, that is what I did last time.

                  Hi Dilshamum,

Í couldn’t remember the exact fee as it was abt 3 years ago. I think it was approx $700 plus for 3 days/week for 1 1/2hr sessions for Nursery and $1000 plus for 5 days week. I put my girl there because it was convenient for my mother to fetch her to/fm school. For the price I paid, I don’t think they are very academic but also maybe my girl is still too young (2 1/2 yrs old) at that time. However, I can see obvious improvement in her language and social skills after I switched her to CCK Bible Centre Kindergarten (3hrs including one meal). I’ve not heard of Gracefield but you can bring your girl there and see whether she likes the school environment. You can also check out Hope Community Kindergarten at Sunshine Place (CCK), I’ve heard good review about this school too.

                    Hi Tri-mum,
I am looking for a Pre-N for my girl. I realise in Yew Tee area, not much of Pre-N classes. CCK Bible Centre only starts from Nursery, I have been trying to call Gracefields but no one pick up. Hope community is a bit out of the way unless they have school bus transportation.

                      Hi Dilshamum,

Yes, not much choices for Pre-N around Yew Tee. I’m not sure which part of Yew Tee you’re staying. You can also consider Apple Tree near to the Mobil petrol station, I believe they do have Pre-N classes if you think Tulip is too x . There is another childcare centre (Elfa something) at Blk 689. Gracefield probably follow the national school holidays scheme like my girl school and that’s why nobody is answering the phone call. Hope Community do have transport service but if it is abit out of the way then forget it afterall your child is still so young to travel "long distance"…Good Luck to you.
