It’s my alma mater.
Hope to meet some of you next year! -
Scary:
As for discipline, my boy actually quite ok but I know there are many boys who still have problems doing work at home. At least, I can leave him alone at home and go to work, get him to go to coffee shops to buy his own lunch (and for me too at times!), get him to go to his enrichments himself. Many gave me the :yikes: look when I told them this. As we have no helper and external help, I also choose to look at certain things only, better 放手 and train early.
I can sense that your boy is 懂事 and independent. I'm looking forward to the days my DD can do the same, yet I can't help & still there's a lingering worry for her safety when she venture out alone, as she's a girl. I guess I'll have to learn, albeit slowly, from the Frozen song: Let it go.. let it go..

I understand how u feel la..with girls ,that lingering worry is there even if it's just a 5min bus ride lor..
like few weeks back, my son dozed off, I have no choice but to quickly walk girl to bus stop, wait with her for bus, then quickly walk home..heart was beating so fast!!
worry about bus ride.. worry abt walk across overhead bridge(coz very quiet)..so worried until she called to report she reached centre safely! phew!!
As for Scary, happy to hear her son's good progress..
I guess it's time to train him further, can train him go
Jiang education and NAFA for Dizi lessons already!
Being boys, less worries, easier la.. -

Need to work, plus my health is not gd. Also, we don't have car and helper, so bo bian. In fact, we know some of his classmates both boys and girls already on their own. They are the first/second generation fr China.Scary:

I do get my boy to call me once he reaches his enrichment place. -

I don't dare to 放手 too much...your son is really independent at 9 years old. -

This is the 放手act when one feels almost dying and her child has to go for lessons. Imagine one having diarrhoea and it's time for school! -
in any case, I still admire you to do without a helper.

You super mom! So you still have to do housework and coach your son's studies right?Need to work, plus my health is not gd. Also, we don't have car and helper, so bo bian. I do know of a P3 gal taking the public bus home after school & another P3 boy walking on his own to his enrichment centre which is about a 5-mins walk. When I asked DD whether she can also walk there on her own, but she wasn't ready now. -
scary,
you went back to work?
no helper, no car and have to coach son in his studies :salute:
