Thanks for your suggestion!
KCPPS is supposed to have on-premise student care service next year, but operator has not been confirmed. Alternatively, you can try Sparkle Tots near KCPPS. They are willing to walk over and fetch the kids from school after CCA or remedial.lovexuan:
Hello!

My daughter is in P1 this year. And she takes the school bus. I am just wondering.. Next year it will be single session for all levels. The school mentioned that the school bus does not send the kids home after school if they have to stay back for remedials or CCAs.
For parents with kids who take the school bus and cannot pick up the kids after that, what will your arrangements be like? Is there some kind of car pool or private school bus service to send the kids home?
I wanted to enrol my daughter into the student care next year. But now that I know there won't be school bus to send her home, I can't anymore. Is this a norm for all primary schools in sg? Sorry, still quite new to all these. So I am just wondering aloud.
I have already submitted an interest during the P1 orientation last year though actual registration has not taken place. There will be a meeting in a few weeks' time before they finalise everything. The only thing that has been confirmed is there will not be any school bus fetching the kids home after student care. A little disappointed! -

Yes, there is no way to opt out because this is a Christian school. I am an ex-kcpps student. It has been this way for the past 22 years. In fact we used to spend more time on these Christian values in the past.Couldn't find more info on the list of cca available at kcps. Anyone can advise? Thank you.
Devotion and chapel are compulsory for all
Pupils?

Anyone knows what are the CCA options? Is Taekwondo available?

Not sure about the full list of cca available but I found taewando among the list of awards won by kcpps students in 2014. Hence, I believe tkd is offered as cca. -
I managed to speak to the teachers yesterday. Taekwondo is currently not offered as CCA in the current premise, but it used to be available in the old premise. The teachers are also not sure if it will be available next year when they move back to Bishan.

Have been with KCPPS for more than 10 years already. There was no TKD all these years. Must have been many many many years ago. -

The KCPPS website shows some awards listed under Taekwondo in 2014. Not sure about the details as it was just a passing conversation with one of the teacher... Will find out more during the orientation in Dec...wind79:

Not funded nor supported by the school. The truth is the school merely acknowledged their achievement.zeemimi:

The school did away with the School Swim team a couple of years back just because she felt the team was not earning enough medals for the school. I would be surprised if they set up a TKD CCA just based on a couple of achievements by students externally. -

Wow, you mean the school just claimed the achievements from students as their own when they are actually not doing anything at all?

I believe other schools are doing that too. Do bear in mind that the awards that they have received will be recognised and shown in their report book. Same goes for swimming. Though, they are not the school cca, the kids participated in inter-primary competition and the kids achievements are being recognised. So, I don't think it is fair to say that school just claimed the achievements from students.
