Rusutsu is good, food is good too - but since it is ski resort, price is more compared to Sapporo city. My ds and hub took a day ski class with a scotish trainer.
dd and myself played sled and easy hike around the resort- very big

The onsen is FANTASTIC - outdoor with snow capped mountain view. You can take the gondola up Mt Isola , view is breath taking
There is paid bus service to Lake Toya. But I did not go Toya.

Thanks My pillow for sharing , very tempted to book it but price is still much higher than Furano. Did you stay at Prince Sapporo last year?

I booked Jetstar (Tokyo- New Chitose) is about $510 for 4pax.

No, i din stay in Prince Sapporo, but I read it in Prince Hotel chain
when I was looking at Prince Furano.
