Regarding expo sales, it may be worth to check out early on if there is credit card promos, or just bring along the whole arsenal.

Last MPH sale, UOB cardholders got additional 10% off. Not all the time it happens, but if it does, it’s icing on top of the cake.

Can't wait for the sale! Just hoping it'll be as good as the last.

My hubby already :?: :?: he's wondering when the new bookshelves will burst....(i keep buying bookshelves, and then finding it empty, going out to buy more and more).

True true. Now I only buy non-fiction stuff, those exceptionally hard to get or classics. But they still occupy space. Also, have those readers etc I bought from past....cannot buang until at least DS2 learns to read.

Still, couldn't resist the 3 for $5 Magic Tree House yesterday at Bras basah complex. In my defence, those titles weren't available at my usual library haunts....I would have to incur $4.65 just to reserve and pick up. (excuses excuses).

Anyway lesson learnt. At Bras basah sale, i saw eg, Toto-chan book going for $2 (about there lah) (a delightful book written by a Jap lady on her childhood), classics going for $1. I had got those before for many times the price at expos...next time if I want classics, shall stick only to 2nd hand bookshops. :stupid: :stupid:

I also love to buy, esp when I think it's a bargain. Never mind that my kids will not be able to read these books until a few years later. Can always buy and keep. DH is resigned to it - can't stop me from buying

How much were they sold for yesterday at Bras Basah..

hmmm, old Enid story books going at $1 each. newer look versions were about $2.50. Some look very pre-loved, others were pretty ok.

Ermm.. ... what i meant was how much were the faraway books
at bras basah yesterday... those that you saw... πŸ˜‰

Thanks for the heads up on the expo sales, hquek! :celebrate:

                        Me too. πŸ˜‰

I do that for clothes too.
                        Like good quality branded clothes.
Not cheapskate, but think of it as more
savings for 2 children to enjoy. πŸ˜‰

As for being resigned to it... hubs says
it came from my pocket, so.... 😐 .... yah..
