[Marine Parade] Primary Schools

Just hope you can get a place in 2B.
Or else this will be a tough decision if you go into 2C because when it comes to balloting, it’s either you get it or you don’t. If you have to go into 2C Sup, then there will be no chance to get into a popular school and that could be a big blow for pareants who take primary school education seriously. -
Lucky, if you are registering this year (2009) then I think should still be ok as the single session thing hasn’t implement yet. Anyway phase 2B plus within 1km is the best you can get, so dont worry so much. And if you really don’t get in, then I think you can try again under 2C since you stay within 1km. And if still really cannot get in, you can appeal to the principal.
I had a friend with similar case in Aitong (2B and 2C within 1km also cannot get in). She got in after appealing. -
i believed appeal cases will be entertained if demand exceeds supply by a little. If too many, don think they will entertain.
Anyway, hear too many unsuccessful stories from Huay Kuan already. Just keep my fingers crossed lor. -
Hi! Need some advice on tao nan and ngee ann. If I cannot get a place at tao nan in phase 2C, will I still be able to secure a place @ ngee ann in phase 2C supp? I am within 2km for both schools.

That's very hard to say at this point. You will only know by Phase 2B what your real chances are. Ngee Ann has been hot and cold over the last 3 years if you look at the balloting history. -
ai yoh, typo. I mean I am within 1 km to both schools.

My kid is in tns.I guess whether its stressful or not in a school, be it tns or any other school, it really depends on your own expectation for the child.I dont think ,so far for my kid class, there is any case like the kid is told to go for extra private tuition. On the contrary, its the parents that signed the kids for marathon tuitions.Hope this helps.
