How to calculate salary if maid's last day is on the 11th?

      TIA 🙂

My Filipina maid's last day worked was 11th, her salary is $500
2 off days included in her salary so 500 divide by 28 working days =17.8571429 times by 11 days= $196.428571 which is $ 196. 42cents.
So her 11 days worked is $196 and I paid her $200.

So glad my crazy maid has gone for good, now she is leeching off another employer for free holiday and wifi!

Filipino maid salary is $500 only? I thought more?

Lesson here is never to hire anyone seem too cheap.. Always have problem that's why so cheap.
10 month only with so much trouble then waste agent fee so gain nothing...

Don’t understand why they want to force the FDW to give $$$ to the agents,

The excuse they give is ridiculous… that their embassy will have their contacts etc.
Many of the girls being stopped are returning from holidays. And most would have their employers’ address etc on their passports.

Also, like this hor… the FDWs who still want to continue working here will not be able to go home for holidays.

does this apply to fresh indon maids or only those who were on holiday? agents r still advertising indon maids etc…

My aunts maid is going back after contract end in 3 months and intend to come back to spore after resting 2 months but with fresh new employer. She does not know the difficulty that others are having tho. What if she comes in as a tourist.?

I think their govt wants to monitor the maids' income. If they use an agent...then they track them with the contracts with the embassy....

You think so noble.......the agenda is.......later want to up their salary when they send them here as care giver and child minder...

would u ask your kids to do housework even if you have a full=time maid at home?

I am thinking of training my kids to sweep/mop the floor, they already know how to wash dishes and wipe tables. Thinking ahead of next time with no maid when the children are older.
In the meantime, with full time maid around, will you still ask your kids to do housework? Isn it awkward

When I was growing up…even with maids around, my mother would insist

                    1. we make our own beds the moment we wake up, properly make the bed not just pull duvet over the whole bed.

                    2. wipe clean our bowl/plate, utencils etc with kitchen paper and place them in the sink.

                    3. always throw our own trash and not litter all over the house.

Hi All, I've joined this Forum quite some time but never active. Currently need some advise with regards to my helper. she's been with me for 6yrs, Filipino. Her current salary is $600 & off every Sunday & Christmas day from 9.30am- 9pm. She's my !st maid and with me till now but what pissed me off recently is she cannot wake up on time every morning at 6am! REally thinking of sending her back but on account that she is with me for so many years, I have to bear her nonsence...

Yesterday, she just woke up late & I told her off, today happen again. I did told her that if she is late, I will deduct $5 & half hr from her time off everytime she is late, but it seems she is not scared.....

Seriously I am very annoyed by her.... how ah???? :slapshead:

hey Ivy, i am in almost the same situation as you. only diff is my helper has been with me for ONLY one year. recently, she kept waking up late and my mum told her off.

last night she told my mum she wants to go home, homesick. this morning, she said she wants to go back to agency. i am contemplating to buy her an air ticket and send her home since i dont have time for her nonsense and i dont want to be at her mercy as well.

                        such a pain.
