Any idea what happens if we register our DD with Ai Tong but fail to get a place during 2C balloting? We recently moved to within 1km to Ai Tong. The other school in the area is AMK Primary...curious to know any story the parents here may have heard of...thank you in advance! :?: :? :scratchhead:

If you fail to get a place during 2C balloting, you have to enter phase 2Cs and enrol your child in another school where there's vacancy (and hopefully avoid ballot again).

If you are aiming for Ai Tong, a back up phase 2Cs school is a must as you will confirm face the ballot in phase 2C. If you are lucky, you will have 50% chance of getting a place. For your daughter, you can also consider Marymount Convent in phase 2Cs which isn't too far away.

Oh yes, Marymount Convent is another option i didn't think of. My impression (may not be correct lah :P) is also that Marymount may be better than AMK Pri...? Maybe coz I have a friend who is an old girl from Marymount decades back...

Any parents put their kid in the student care in Ai Tong? Can share feedback? Or any parent who had initially put his/her child in student care and felt that it would be better for a child to be at home? Would really like to hear your views.

With the renovation n construction at the original site completed, the school will change from dual session to single session with the no of hours increased based on MOE's guideline. Programs for higher levels are similar while there are some adjustments to the lower primary's programs with reference to MOE's guideline. Even though there are some adjustments, I dun think it's very much difference from current. As for the intake, there will be no changes as the previous facilities are not enough for all levels in 1 session. The increase in facilities only enables the school to operate in a single session. This year intake for 2016 P1 is still 330 same as previous years.
