The above message is for class of 2016 (year 5 in 2015 and year 6 in 2016). The JIP should be for class of 2017 (Year 5 in 2016 and Year 6 in 2017). I don't think the JIP announcement is out yet.

I do not know why before i post here, i can scroll down under announcement. After i post here, i login again, suddenly could not find the message anymore. That was strange too. I screenshot and forward to my dd. My dd forward to all her friends. When their friends asked their mum to login, they could not find the announcement too.

And in remembered i could scroll down the mth as well as the year. Why now the year only appears 2015? And the announcement was gone. So now whether 15 Jan 2016 open schools or what? Email to the person

OK, I did call the school office today, and the short answer is that the Yr5’s from RI/RGS report to school on Thurs, 14 Jan 2016.


The lady in the office was quite defensive, which surprised me, so maybe I wasn’t the first parent to call to ask? At first, it seemed that she didn’t even want to tell me! She says that all students who attended matriculation in RI (apparently in Oct) would have been fully briefed about the induction programme and reporting date. However, on checking with my daughter, it seems the girls didn’t attend any such session. Their "matriculation" was only filling in details and subject combination online. So maybe the RI boys have been given more info than the RGS girls? If so, can one of the parents post if there’s anything important we should know ahead of the 14th? Thanks!

I understand that the JIP runs from Thursday 14 Jan 2016 to Wed 27 Jan 2016. Usually, alll the compulsory talks and programs will be in the AM while the PM is for CCA trials and electives.

I only know that if your child does not intend to continue his/her CCA in Year 5 they have to let the school know especially for the sports CCA.

Hi, my ds will be joining RI Y1 next year. I hv heard not all textbooks will be used and some are rarely used. Can anyone advise which textbooks need not be purchased? TIA!!
