My DD, whose best subject is Math (typically >=95 in a known school) says that both papers were hard, though she managed all questions with some lost marks. She thinks the gauge of difficulty is not based on whether she could answer the questions or not, but rather the amount of time/effort put in for each question in comparison to the past PSLE or other school prelim papers. And I trust her judgement when she said that.

Based on her performance strictly. She made quite a few mistakes which she should not have and would not usually make. Quite some marks gone already. Composition, she felt it was not as well written.

EL, though she didn't do well this time round. Selection of schools within 7 days is going to be stressful for us. We have no schools in mind just yet.
So my judgement is simply based on her personal performance so far. -

The questions states that the bulbs are placed on the two breadths and one length of the rectangle, not the entire rectangle as illustrated -

Based on an earlier post somewhere, I think someone mentioned that it was stated in the question that the bulbs were lined on 3 sides and even specified the labelled sides. -
Yes, labels show that it was placed on 2 breadths and 1 lemth
