I did think about moving to another ryokan in between, but that would be logistically challenging, and waste precious time too as I don’t have too many days in Kyoto.

Is June a good time to visit Tokyo? Plan to bring kids to Disneyland in June. But seems its a rainy season in Japan.

Do we need thick winter wear if we go to Tokyo in late Nov?

I was there early Nov last year. It was not cold at all. I did not need to wear any thermal or winter wear. But i heard from friends there that it was colder the week before. So weather can be unpredictable. Best advice is to check the weather forecast nearer your travel date. Most importantly, bring layers.
