It’s too late to worry about this as selection deadline is over.

      Let me share more…

During the NYGH open house held during June this year, during QnA there were many questions from parents abt the DSA (direct school admission).
And the Principal did say that half of the school sec one vacancies are allocated for DSA, however the P said not all the allocated vacancies will be taken up because a student may receive multiple offers from more than one school for DSA, if the student is successful in their applications for DSA to more than one school.

Generally girls’ results are better than boys, and for this year I felt the cohort results seems to be better than last year. I would expect the COP to move up.

COP 250 is not a guarantee.

        Refer to sis.moe.gov.sg
2014 Sec 1 the lower end is more than 250.

Think you are talking about different thing. Conversation above refers to affiliated students where the lowest end is indeed 250.

          PSLE Aggregate
          Non-Affiliated
          Express: 264 - 279

          Affiliated
          Express: 250 - 274

No, the lower end for affiliated students was 251 for 2014 Sec One into NYGH.

Refer to sis.moe.gov.sg for NYGH, then click on the different year to see.

              just checked

when click onto \"sis.moe.gov.sg\" for SCGS -
for last year 2015 PSLE batch (ie. 2016 Sec 1 intake, born 2003),
the COP (O level) for Affliated SCGS primary school girls was 221, not 220.

that means those affliated SCGS primary girls, with 220 :
cannot go back to SCGS Secondary (O level), got to go other school ?
so, 220 for affliated students, also not guaranteed ?

              Another similar case

The same also apply to CHIJ St Nicholas. (SNGS)

In that PSLE 2014 batch (i.e. 2015 Sec 1 intake, born 2002), the COP was 231, not 230.

That means for that Affliated year batch of SNGS students :
if scored (227 + 3), or (228 + 2), or scored (229 + 1), although still add up to 230 because Is a SAP school, also cannot go back for Affliated O level ?

can check to confirm, by clicking

I know personally of one girl with 247+3 and another girl with 248+2 for their 2014 PSLE results, who got into NYGH as their #1 choice. Now they are happily studying in NYGH waiting to start Sec 3 next year. If you check the website, the cutoff for affilifiated students for Sec 1 2015 was 250, also for Sec 1 2013 and Sec 1 2016. But for some reasons the Sec 1 2014 the cutoff was 251.

Thanks MommyNg and all parents that provide feedback.

For some reason, entering to Sec 1 in yr 2014, the NYGH COP is 251. Don't think anyone know the actual reason behind except the principal and the school board. During that year in 2013, did the slide has indicated COP 251???

For Yr 2013, 2015 and 2016 to Sec 1 remained COP at 250. I have gotten some info from NYPS parents when collecting their child PSLE results. There's a slide indicated for this year COP is confirmed at 250 and also the Principal has announced to the parents that this year 2016 enter to Sec one in 2017 COP is 250 (Afficiation to NYGH). T-SCORE of 250 is included Higher Chinese. First Choice must be NYGH. As for now, we have to trust the school information is correct.

Let us hope for the best for all DD/DS enter their first choice of school. Will updates the outcome on 21 Dec.

The following information has pulled out from the school website.

CHIJ Secondary is affiliated to CHIJ Primary

For affiliated pupils, an affiliated cut-off point of 200 PSLE T-Score is required for admission to the Express course. (wef 2012 Sec One)

                    10. Following the IP implementation, will MGS raise the cut-off aggregate for Primary MGS girls getting into the secondary section?

MGS has no plans to raise the 220 cut-off for MGS primary girls moving into the secondary section.

                    FYI.

I am looking for a good math tutor to prepare my child for PSLE in 2017.

Any of your child did well for psle this year, do recommend.
                      Much appreciated.
