Nope, because the infrastructure of a school (i.e. the number of classrooms) are not scalable. Plus, there are more than enough schools to go around (but they may not necessarily be popular).

my son's former primary school and secondary school opened 1 extra class for the dragon year kids. but i don't know if it will happen again.

There are more than 100+ primary schools in Sg

which specific school in particular, are u asking ?
can call up that specific school, to inquire, whether your year (batch) got special treatment

Hi everyone, pardon me for my ignorance. If we secured a place in a school under Phase 2B, can we still try to ballot for another school under Phase 2C? And we can choose which one we prefer if we managed to secure for both? Thank you.

No, u cannot hang onto 2 schools, simultaneously

in order to ballot for a school in Phase 2C, u must give up (ie. withdraw from) your secured school under Phase 2B.
After you had given up your secured school in 2B, only then can u proceed with balloting in 2C.

if balloting fail in 2C, can only go forward to whatever remaining schools are left available, in 2C Supplementary.

Thanks for your reply. Actually it is because I saw the school's ballot history and realised that in the years 2006 and 2007, there are 30 more students than usual years. Since 2006 was a dragon year, so I wanted to know if it is possible that they added an extra class due to this. I will call up the school to check if it will happen for this batch of dragon kids too.

Me reporting in for 2019 P1 intake too!!!! luckily mine is #2 and my #1 has successfully transferred to NCPS when he is in Pri 3 last year. Phew.. at least i do not have to go through the balloting process.
