Has anyone genuinely lost their kid in a crowd before?

hmm what about for children? like when you bring kids out, it's not very possible for kids to be away from you for over 200m. so would it be good for finding kids? -
I was lost at least 1 time, that I remember of, when I was 6. More than 20 years ago. I remember strangers asking me where my parents were in English. At that time, from a Mandarin speaking family, my English was limited. I could understand them but could only reply in Mandarin \"I don't know.\" And then I stayed around the shop where I got lost. Finally my parents came back for me. I didn't cry. My parents didn't scold me too
It was my fault and the most unforgettable incident of me getting lost! -

There is no need to buy such devices. Many mobile phones has built-in GPS nowadays, and there are free applications that allow you to track the child. A mobile phone is many times more useful. Nowadays, most kids know how to call Mommy's phone numbers by 5 years old, so any mobile phone is good enough.
GPS is useless when you are in a building, which is most likely where most of us will lose our kids.
If the kid is old enough to know how to operate a mobile phone, one option is of course to get one for him/her. Telcos now have plans where a kid can have a mobile phone which taps off the usage time of the parent's main plan.veryverykiasu:

Given what you are looking at, the T7 can cover that range, is cheaper, and more fun for the kids (and adults too).

DS2 went missing this morning. for about 5 mins. he is only 2.
Brought him out to the market, very crowded because of some procession going on. anyway, I usually just hold his hand, but just now he wanted to walk on his own, so I let him, while watching him. suddently got 1 trolley (clearing plate kind) pushed in front of me, so DS1 was in front of the trolley and me at the back of the person who was pushing the trolley. The lane is just nice for 1 person to walk/squeeze through, ánd also as the lane wasn’t too long, I just let DS1 continue walking, and me continue walking behind, with the trolley in the middle.
at the end of the lane, I looked for him, but couldn’t find him.
can imagine the panic. my heart nearly stop. I kept shouting for him, on lookers just look. yes, nobody even help to search.
after 5 mins, I was going to cry, when a kind lady brought him to me. I never felt so relief before. he was crying when I saw him. I forgot to thank the lady though. Thanks to God that I found him.
The woman who was pushing the trolley still dare to ‘lecture’ me, saying why I didn’t keep an eye on him. I told her, '‘your trolley is blocking the way so fast, and when asked him to stay with me (quite noisy cos of the procession), but you just continue pushing the trolley!’ she was paiseh and dun dare to say anything. :x -

DS2 did that in Amsterdam airport - we were waiting for transit flight and just browsing in the shops. suddenly we noticed that he was not with us....me, hubby and my sis panicked and started running in all directions to look for him. Finally my sis found him - and our friend was still walking and crying at the same time. Didn't know how long it was - probably 5-10 min, but definitely the longest time ever. -
I remember \"losing\" DD1 when she was 7 at Tokyo Disneyland.
We were watching the night parade so the street lights were switched off. The only lights came from the parade itself. We didn't plan on watching the parade so we ended up standing quite far back. DD1 couldn't see clearly (too short lah) so she told me she wanted to go closer...and she was off! I tried looking for her immediately but I couldn't see very far ahead of me and people were everywhere. When the parade ended, it was pitch black and I started to seriously panic. Luckily, before the parade, I had bought her a battery-operated \"lantern\" and I remembered she left it on so I looked around for a green glow. Luckily, she found me cos I tried to stand in a not-so-dark spot. I think she was also a bit scared when she realised I wasn't with her so I took the opportunity to remind her not to run off like that ever again. -
I 'nearly' lost one of my toddler twice... not once but twice.. and it really really.. scare the hxxx out of me...
