Sorry, I think Big Devil post cannot be trusted. Last year 2016 PSLE cut-off for this year's 2017 secondary school listing are all invalid. And many schools are missing from the 2016 PSLE cut-off list he gave. Well, personally only trust Ministry of Education now. So many \"bribery websites\" on the internet nowadays.

I think affiliation to any school means \"easier to gain admission\" with regards to the topic in view. Need to check with the respective JCs to verify whether those secondary schools truly have affiliation or not.

      :thankyou:

Sorry I couldn't find the thread for this so posting to ask if the information in this link is updated and can be used as future reference?

        :thankyou:
There hasn't been any new affiliation since. Hence, the list is valid.

That said, affiliation to JC isn't all that important or useful 80% of the time.

Which post are you referring to?
TS was asking about the affiliated school list and as far as I can see,
that list has no mention of cut-off at all!

Also, that list was created back in 2009, when my DD1 was registering for P1.
Hence I compiled that Primary-Secondary affiliation list to help others to have
a easier view of what schools has affiliation.

Although the list is now 8 years old, I don't think there had been any changes
to the affiliations. So the list should still be good for PRIMARY - SECONDARY affiliation.

Again, the primary objective was to list those Primary schools with Secondary
schools affiliation. The Secondary-JC affiliation was just a tag along, and is NOT COMPLETE.

Of course. the most authoritative provider of any information with regards to schools in
Singapore is MOE itself. You can get all the affiliation information from the School Information
          Service website http://sis.moe.gov.sg/

You can go and Check moe website, for an official list of Secondary schools affliated to JC, or a list of primary schools affliated to secondary schools. Moe website is safest, as it is official

The short answer to your question: the affiliated list remains exactly the same. MOE will not add or remove any affiliation priority, ever. I am quite certain about that.

In case you wish to see it again...I double-checked this from MOE's e-booklet for the 2019 Joint Admissions Exercise:

ACJC: bonus points given for students from affiliated schools ACS(BR), ACS(I) O level course, Fairfield Methodist Secondary, Geylang Methodist Secondary, MGSS, PLMGSS.

CJC: bonus points given for students from affiliated schools Assumption English School, Catholic High School, CHIJ TPY Secondary, CHIJ Katong Covent, CHIJ St Joseph's Convent, CHIJ St Nicholas, CHIJ St Theresa's Convent, Hai Sing Catholic School, Holy Innocents' High School, Maris Stella High School, Monfort Secondary, St Anthony's Canossian Secondary, St Gabriel's Secondary, St Patrick's Secondary, SJI (O level course).

NYJC: bonus points given for students from affiliated schools Chung Cheng High (main) and Chung Cheng High (Yishun).

SAJC: bonus points given for students from affiliated schools Anglican High School, Christ Church Secondary, Kuo Chuan Presbyterian Secondary, Presbyterian High School, St Andrew's Secondary, St Hilda's Secondary, St Margaret's Secondary.

VJC: bonus points given for students from affiliated school Victoria School.

JCs which do not give bonus points: Anderson JC, ACS(I) IB course, Dunman High School (A level course), Eunoia JC, HCI (A level course), Jurong-Pioneer JC, National JC, RI (A level course), River Valley High School (A level course), SJI (IB course), Tampines-Meridian JC, Temasek JC, Yishun-Innova JC.
