2018 P1 registration exercise for 2019 intake

Hi there,


Am checking in here as well. Daughter will be going to P1 in Yr 2019.

As such, would appreciate opinions on the following options that I have:

Option 1: To register her in De La Salle (in Choa Chu Kang) since should be able to qualify in Phase 2A since I am Old Boy. However, currently staying in Yishun. Distance will be an issue?

Option 2: To try Chong Fu which is <1km but not sure if will get lucky and get a place. And am not so comfortable with the other schools within Yishun, should I be pushed to register in Phase 2C or Phase 2CS.

Care to advise pls.

We stay in punggol and there is a new school right beside us but im thinking of leaving that as my last choice in 2c phrase.

I can join other schools in this grc under 2b

Bbth hubby and my schools are considered not bad.
Hub: Anderson Primary School
Me: Kheng Cheng School

But the distance frm punggol to kheng cheng tbh is very far. The pro is it is a rising school. Im not too sure abt anderson though. Hub's been telling me to just take the school right beside us. Cus distance is a concern to him. But i have 2a2 and 2b! Why do i wanna waste it right? 

Any advice? Do i really try 2a2, 2b then 2c?

No idea which is your 2A2 or 2B school, but I’m assuming both schools that you’ve listed are 2A2 schools as 2B is supposed to be based on your address if you are using the GRL scheme.

You should find out whether there are school bus or public transport options to your choices. If you are not able or not willing to manage the logistic for 6 years, then better to pick a nearby school.

Under phrase 2C;
1. Shuqun Primary school / Lakeside Primary School < less than 1 km
2. Rulang Primary school <less than 2km

Which school should I try as 1st choice?

This isn't PSLE - S1 posting, there is no 1st / 2nd choice.
You can only choose 1 school at 1 Phase.
So logically, you have to go with Fuhua at Phase 2A2 first. Then, decide whether you risk balloting at 2C for Shuqun or Lakeside. If you decide to chance your luck at the ballot for 2C, you will have to withdraw your place in Fuhua. Rulang < 2km is out, given that you would have a chance to ballot.

You sure you want to be in such a whatsapp group? Your phone will burst if there's 1 message per person per day.
