Bad things about Pei Tong? Do u mind to share privately with me? I only heard its stressful due to testes all the time. Thanks for your reply, i was thinking of this plan too but do not really know abt bukit timah pri sch. distance is not a problem for me.
Since your girl prefers a girls school, do try your best to grant her wish. I’m not sure what was your own experience at Pei Tong, but I heard some bad things about that school. It is especially unsafe for girls.sunshineme:
Hi, Im staying in clementi having a few schs for p1 selection for my girl. Having few choices including my old sch. Appreciate if someone can enlighten me on the choices, n the chances of getting in. My Girl prefer a girl sch though.
Nan Hua - within 1km phase2C
Pei Tong (my pri sch) - within 1km phase2A
MGS - >2km PV applied
SCGS - >2km
Chances of MGS & SCGS? I do not know if i shld ever tink of it!!! :xedfingers:
MGS and SCGS >2km whether got chance to ballot, varies year to year. I suggest you apply MGS phase 2B, if didn’t get in then apply SCGS phase 2C, if didn’t get in then apply Bukit Timah Pri phase 2CS (or Pei Tong if you really prefer nearer home). -

Hi All, I am new here. We are staying in West Coast area. We plan to send our daughter in 2020 in
1. Anglo Chinese (Primary)
2. Nan Hua
Both are slightly outside 2 km
Only eligible for Phase 2C. Planning to apply for PV at both. Any other Options? -

ACS Primary is a BOYS-ONLY school. And it does not take in PVs.Hi All, I am new here. We are staying in West Coast area. We plan to send our daughter in 2020 in

Nan Hua: not sure whether they take in PVs but you can try.
“Slightly outside 2km” is the wrong measurement to use. By OneMap indicator, if your house falls outside >2km means outside, end of story.
I suggest you compare the various fall back plan schools since West Coast area usually has no schools <1km. -

Based on their http://nanhuapri.moe.edu.sg/about-us/parent-volunteer-scheme, if you want to apply for PV (child born in 2013), you will have to do so before Jun 2018! 2 months to closing. Good luck.
Even if you are accepted as PV, and subsequently, qualified for Phase 2B, there's no guarantee that you will have stand a chance since balloting has occurred in Phase 2B previously. You may want to move closer after you have secured the PV slot if you want to be safe.
For Phase 2C, your only option is to move to within 1km or to consider other schools.
