Yes PR can register at phase 2C, even at 2B if you do PV.

Didn't know PR can also ballot at 2B ? no wonder I saw PRC couple balloting at 2B in a popular school. I would have assumed they have changed into pink ICs.

[/quote]Yes. Plenty of savvy PRs do PV or GRL work to “up” their priority to 2B. They target the so-called less popular schools that SCs don’t rush for, or don’t bother to PV for.

Hardworking & smart PR will beat lazy & choosy SC. That’s how it goes. The only way SC can win them is to be smarter + more hardworking.

I have spoken to a handful of local Singaporean friends about their P1 registration. I wouldn't say they are lazy or choosy.
They didn't realise the complexity and magnitude of P1 reg & thought it's like our parents' time. just register in school and Dec buy sch uniforms and books. It's totally different to the current system.
As for my PR friends, they are very contented to be able to register their children successfully into our local Pri schools.

If they still think things are so easy like our parents’ time, I can say they will truly be in for a very rude shock when their kids actually start P1.

I’m talking about the Maths syllabus in particular. Big shock bomb there for them.

Speaking as a Singaporean here: parents should be more proactive especially if they know it’s a dragon year registration from the start instead of blaming PRs taking up places from phase 2B onwards. The rules were set many years back and if you fail to plan, u plan to fail. As much as I do not agree with a lot of govt policies, I have to say that they did gave Singaporean priority for registration.

The PRs will definitely be willing to pull off all the stunts. More so if they have multiple kids, as getting the first one in, ensures phase 1 for their subsequent kids.

Best to just move on and fight the best one can…

                  Good luck.

Exactly... different methodologies, cannot use algebra to solve maths questions. use \"Guess & Check\" :slapshead:
It's very tough for full time working parents who finish work late 8pm or 10pm. Esp those who need to travel biz trips regularly.
Certainly can't expect our helpers / maids cannot help in this scope.
How to have more babies? hahahaha.... really so hard to balance work/career & family/children. :scratchhead:
