If you intend to stick with your choice, come what may, register online today.
Anyone plan to register 2C online today? Or wait until last day?
If you want to monitor stats and decide, register last day.
If you want to test out the efficiency of our MOE system and transport network, or you have a bit of a sadomasochistic trait, register today and withdraw last day. -
Chong fu 2c worth to try? We are within one km and sc. I plan to monitor today and reg Tmr. Worse case go to yishun pri which is within one km too!

Lexy, thanks for your reply.
south view is traditionally <1km balloting with a 2:1 odds.Lexy\" post_id=\"1923101\" time=\"1564137546\" user_id=\"12180:
Need your opinion π
What is the chance of getting in South view for SC who stayed less than 1km? The phase 2c vacancies is 52.
Thanks in advance π
I am thinking of balloting South view since I'm less than 1km, if didn't manage to get in, apply for chij olpq for phase 2cs (more than 2km)
How safe do you think of getting seats in olpq since I'm more than 2km?
Or should I go for chij olpq direct? But it's further away...
Hi, I'm looking at South View too.
If balloting failed, my backup plan is Teck Whye, Unity, West View and Yew Tee. (all fall under 1 - 2 km due to caregiver's address)
As 2CS choices will be limited, still thinking which to choose. -

Thank you for the advise.
Northland, ballot for SC <1kmLiyanaC\" post_id=\"1923088\" time=\"1564134677\" user_id=\"177496:
Hi,
My daughter is entering P1 next year and we will register under Phase 2C. My daughter is Singaporean.
We still can't decide whether to register her to Northland Primary School or Pei Ying Primary School.
Both school is within 1km from our house.
Need opinion or advise.
Thanks in advance.
Pei Ying, no ballot even at Phase 2CS.
You can always choose Northland in Phase 2C, failing which, switch to Pei Ying in Phase 2CS.
Will study in Northland stressful for the child?
Is Pei Ying as good too? -
me too. submitted registration online. wait and see.

Chong Fu probably hot ballot <1km, monitor Yishun if TUR too high, might not have 2CS vacancies. Monitor until last day.

thank you, floppy. I will call the school or drop by after day 2 to ask about the stats. To be honest I won't even consider this option if not for the fact the 2A1 school is 11km away (by driving distance), albeit one of the top schools. i am wrought with worry that my logistics plan will fail especially if i have to travel for business trips. :?:
1. Withdraw and register in person for both schools.estherc\" post_id=\"1922336\" time=\"1563956708\" user_id=\"162412:
Hi
if my kid has already secured a place in another school (phase 2A1) but i want to withdraw and try for a much nearer school (<1km), do i have to withdraw physically then apply online or i have to withdraw and register physically for both?
Would anyone also know whether the school would be able to 'update' the number of SCs by distance base on a daily basis ie 29 jul , 30 jul and real-time 31 july for the registrations including those who applied online?
The nearer school has 63 places for phase 2C which is quite a high chance and may be 100% for <1km but also not sure as cannot see the distance base application for previous years..
2. Some schools will update a white board placed near the registration for the breakdown. Please note that they are not obliged to update the board regularly and the info will never be real time.
3. Hong Wen's 63 places isn't that different from past years. Slightly better but still at risk. You may have to monitor till the last day before you decide whether to execute the withdraw-and-re-register move. You need to factor in the time taken to complete the admin processes as well as to travel from 2A1 school to HWS. Don't leave it till the last minute. -
It is difficult to monitor stats from school because I do not think the school gets real time data from online registration. So itβs quite a shot in the dark. No point waiting until last day, worst is you do not know how many parents really think they can game the system by registering last day in school, then you appear at a "choice" school and see more than a hundred waiting in queue β¦ and itβs also too late to register online then.
