Can I ask the gurus if last day will there be a lot of changes to the numbers?

Here's some data derived from 2018 (if similar pattern holds).

New Borns:
2012: 42,663\t(SC+PR)
2013: 39,654 (SC+PR)

Vacancies:
2018: 41,820 (800 less than new borns)
2019: 39,058 (600 less than new borns)

Registered after 2B:
2018: 23,002 (53.9% of new borns)
2019: 21,148 (53.3% of new borns)

Registered after 2B + Applied at 2C:
2018: 38,542 (90.3% of new borns)
2019: ~35808 (Expected, assuming 90.3% of new borns)

As of today (Day2 @ 2C), total registered after 2B + Applied at 2C Day2:
2019: 34505

So if my assumption is right, we shall still expect around 1,300 new registrations (35808-34505) on the last day of 2C.

We will verify the data tmr!

FYI:
Registered after 2C + Applied at 2CS:
2018: 38,622

Thank you for this data.

Is the reason why there are fewer vacancies than births because some children are residing overseas and won't be attending schools in Singapore?
some explanation:

Possible further explanations: handful (less than 200 I expect) are exempted from their year of registration: either homeschooled, or deferred, or went to specialized schools like Pathlight etc.

last 30 mins can quite a sight sometimes. and last 5mins, some may need to bite their nails or chew their hands.
Then when the registration close and you know you are through, please enjoy the moment, because the torture will begin next year when the P1 starts. 😂

I thought the torture started when they were born? Lol

i'm wondering why sajs is so popular! compared to other elite single gender schools like mgs, acs, chij (st nic), catholic high etc...the numbers are lower. anyone has any idea? is it bcos of bidadari estate & trever?
SAJS is also less than 1km from many of us here in Whampoa who don’t dare ballot at Hong Wen. 😂

Err... I think you mean “unpopular”?

The schools you mentioned have less than 30 vacancies while SAJS has 67, ie the majority of their places have been taken up before Phase 2C. Remaining places over in those schools are only open up to those < 1km who dare to ballot.

Does anyone know about waiting list?

To be able to filled up in waiting list, do we need to register at school A ?
Let say if we never register at school A and i register at school B at phase 2C (any phase)
But after all the registration period finished, we can go to school A and fill up as waiting list.

Anyone got this kind of experience?

If you stick your butt there and stay inside the registration room at closing time 4.30pm, they will announce. If they don’t, just ask them before you pack up and leave.

Don’t forget this crucial step. Otherwise, you will be in ignorant torment until next Wednesday.

U can wait list in as many schools as you want and its not in order of who came first. Admission is at the discretion of the school.

That was what my partner thought too until we realise we'd probably be putting the child for more enrichment classes.
