Very good strategy! Makes a lot of sense, be bold yet safe approach! 👍🏻
everyone has his or her own approach but here's my personal take on how to use the 6 choices for non-affiliated students:Dino\" post_id=\"1948054\" time=\"1574416158\" user_id=\"6726:
This being said, does that mean that someone who scores less than 250, for example 240 - 249 can also choose IP in their choices?
(1) start with the 6th choice instead of the other way round. put a \"guarantee, confirm plus chop\" safety net choice (let's say 12 points below the child's T-score) tat u can still accept (or barely accept). By doing so, at least u avoid the situation where all 6 choices were unsuccessful n u let MOE decide ur fate (which was wat happened last year to many students)
(2) use 1st choice for super dream school, can try even if it seems out of reach becos fortune favours the bold, right?
(3) use 2nd choice for a 50/50 chance dream school
(4) put serious and long thoughts into the 3rd, 4th and 5th choices for realistic schools within the reach of the child's T-score
Best of luck to all. :xedfingers: -

I not too sure abt that, maybe someone can quote the MOE guidelines just to confirm?? Thanks[/quote]on page 9 of \"Choosing your Sec Sch 2020\" issued by MOE to all parents, under section 8.4b, it is clearly stated that \"If your child is in the top 30% of the PSLE cohort who have taken Higher Chinese at the PSLE, they will be given bonus points for admission to SAP schools\"
this is also my understanding. Anyone can help to confirm again? Thanks.Stevenlsf\" post_id=\"1948107\" time=\"1574430917\" user_id=\"69371:

i believe ur interpretation is incorrect. T-score with HMT bonus points included are tteated like raw score for admission priority into SAP schools regardless IP or not.
and under section 10.1 & 10.2, it is stated \"A student with a better aggregate score will be considered for admission first, subject to the availability of vacancies in the selected school\". -
Hi, Is there anyone familiar with Jurong Sec school? I missed their open house. The school is not very near to my house (2 train stations away) but seems that it is the only school that meet the cop of my son. Wish to hear some advice from daddy or mummy who has experience with the school. I am lost and worry now.

Does anyone know the cutoff for 3rd language this year? It seemed that the cutoff for EESIS rose 1 point, wondering if the results improved in general

If based on Prelim results (Total aggregate x 0.75), How far is the PSLE results compared to Prelim? Can someone share some statistic? Mine is +14

Plenty of secondary schools having Open House today:

Usually people say use 0.70-0.75. So your 0.75 is the too optimistic end, is very far off not surprising.

Hmm... but doesn't Chewsy mean that the PSLE score was even better?Chewsy\" post_id=\"1948162\" time=\"1574465794\" user_id=\"177963:Usually people say use 0.70-0.75. So your 0.75 is the too optimistic end, is very far off not surprising.
Mine was +7 if I take 0.75 of prelim, as in PSLE score was 7 points higher -
If I use Prelim X 0.70, the incremental is even higher, +20 plus (PSLE), isn’t it even more optimistic?

If your PSLE result is much better than expected, then it is a freak, better than expected lor. Celebrate. U probably worked much harder for PSLE. Why do you need to find out all this.
I thought only those who scored more badly than expected will want to find out why…
