RE: All About ADHD : Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder
Any recommendations on therapists or coaches who can help improve an ADHD child’s executive functioning and motivation with things that bore them (aka homework)?

Hi! There are students who didn't take HCL in primary school but managed to adapt to HCL in RV too. Students will be taught in differentiated groups at Sec 1 for Chinese so that the gap can bridged more easily.
Hi all, i really need advice on this.
Q1: My child took higher chinese at P5 and finds it hard to cope. In the end, both his chinese and higher chinese grades suffer. Hence i got him to drop higher chinese. In this year's PSLE, he has gotten AL7. He is stronger in English and gotten an AL1 in PSLE. Is it tough for him to cope with higher chinese in RV? He has gotten an AL2 for chinese in PSLE. Fyi, RV is extremely near to our residence.
Q2: He was in sports cca hockey in Primary school. It seems like RV don't have that many sports cca..even floor ball and baseball are meant for girls only (found out during Open House). Is there any sports cca i.e. table tennis he might have a chance to enrol in? Have heard that RV will recruit primary school players in its 1st cut. He is not the club person...
Q3: How are the teachers in RV? Dedicated and helpful? Engaging?
It's a supportive environment at RV, both at teachers' and School Leaders' level, and even the PTA has a strong presence in the school too. -

Hi Slothie, there are actually many working parents in the PTA too. The best part of PTA other than the talks is also being able to connect with other RV parents. But of course, even if you're not a PTA member, some talks are still open to all RV parents (with a small fee).
Hello! I’m thinking of joining the Parent Support group… but, as a working mom, I may not be able to support events etc.
My friend also mentioned that the school has talks etc to engage the parents so joining may not be necessary.
What are your thoughts? -

3 sets of PE attire and 1 to 2 sets of formal uniform should be fine. They typically wear the PE attire more often.
Hello! Typically, how many sets of formal uniform and PE attire should we get?
Thank you! -

There is an emphasis on nurturing an appreciation for Chinese culture in RV but it's not extreme such that students speak Mandarin all the time. Teachers are supportive and offer consultation/remedial when needed.
Hi all,
My girl is interested in putting RV as her second choice. May I know how is the culture in RV like? Do the students speak Mandarin all the time ?
Are the teachers encouraging? I heard there are topical tests every week…
