If eligible, it is free if u attend the lessons at the language centres. But if u opt to attend lessons in school for convenience, will have to pay.

Ok, actually I am interested in Malay.
For NUS High \"In-house\" 3rd Lang, Chinese & Malay is free. French & Japanese is payable.
But will the marks pull down his score? Is it counted toward his year end result? -

Currently, only Japanese and French are conducted at NUS High. Students who opt for Japanese and French will have an option to attend the lessons at NUS High or the MOE language centres.

Congratulations!! I am planning to try for my DS next year. He is good in Math & Science.
DS WL was converted. Glad to join the Nus high family next yr
Wonder is all WL converted and any SIE?
But I heard NUS entrance is very tough and kids are tested beyond Primary level.
Any suggestions or recommended materials for preparations? -

I don't think you need to prepare anything. Just take the test as per normal.

If he has it...he will get through the test.
Coz you will not want your child to suffer in the future. No point getting in but cannot cope. -

MOE Offers Student to take cat 1(Malay, Chinese), 2 (Arabic or Bahasa indo) and cat 3 (Jap/French/German/Spanish)
Malay - Free at NUS High
Chinese - Free at NUS High
German - FREE at MOELC
Spanish - FREE at MOELC
Japanese - choose FREE at MOELC (travel) or $100 at NUS High (no travel)
French - choose FREE at MOELC (travel) or S$100 at NUS High (no travel)
Take it as the $100 is savings on travel time and transport fees.
I called the school earlier and they said by matriculation day you will know the electives available that may clash with 3rd language days like Tues or Thurs then you decide if you want to withdraw. There seem to be a date for withdrawal though.
But i forgot to ask if the school has bus tpt to the MOELCs? I know some schools has supply transportation for those taking 3rd language to MOELC. -

It cuts both ways as the CAP (Cumulative Average Point) is an accumulative score of all subjects taken.
Ok, actually I am interested in Malay.Racing Mario\" post_id=\"1949051\" time=\"1574659542\" user_id=\"137103:
For NUS High \"In-house\" 3rd Lang, Chinese & Malay is free. French & Japanese is payable.

If you can score better in 3rd Lang than other subject(s), it will pull up your overall CAP score.
If you score lower in 3rd Lang compared to other subject(s), it will pull down overall CAP score.
Advice: test out for Year 1 and decide later if you want to continue. -
Hi! Can a kind soul provide the uniform vendor’s contact and details again ? The link sent to parents by the school via email is broken. Thank u !
