Yes, I guess all mothers feel like this? My mother is happy she is back too!
you must be very relieved to have her back here..nothing can beat having a whole family to be together at time like this. Is she the one having some disappointment with plans going upside down? lessons replaced by online studies will lose some of its fun also...never mind hope she could still catch up on her plans like travelling etc soon..
They (she and her friends) are all disappointed by plans cancelled and so much uncertainty. But I am glad to see that they are generally being sensible about things, not grumpy, and not too stressed. Having the whole world and so many of them in it together makes a difference, I guess. And social media is a boon - I can hear my daughter talking to a friend who got back from the US earlier. Now they are in the same time zone!
Some of them were planning summer internships in other countries, but now with all the travel restrictions, I expect they will have to remake their plans and find something to do in Singapore. I just hope next year will be back to normal. -

We are on the verge of a mandatory lockdown, as at the weekend a lot of the population nonchalantly ignored governmental advice and engaged in normal everyday activities at malls, supermarkets, pubs, parks and beaches - in huge numbers with no physical distancing. Our trajectory is not too dissimilar to that of Italy. Let’s see what this week brings. I have high hopes and very low expectations.

DH told me Chlorocquine is proven to be effective against coronavirus but there are severe side effects. The Chinese first recommended it and now South Koreans are also using it. But have to be careful as one Shanghai lady self-medicated with Chloroquine, overdosed and ended up in ICU

Today, there is a viral WA circulating around, about a high number of imported cases from London due to a UCL Law Ball. Not sure how true though. Friend’s undergrad daughter (confirmed case last week) came back from London. And I mentioned before, many of these overseas returnees still have younger siblings in our local schools. -

Thanks for your concern. No, my parents stay by themselves. We are keeping in touch via WA and phone. They go out nearby when it's not crowded, and they drive. So they are fairly safe. They remember SARS when my brother (a doctor working with some of the patients) was living at home, so they know the precautions. We were going to celebrate their anniversary this weekend, but we've decided to postpone a week so my daughter will be finished with her SHN by then. And we'll buy food in this time, instead of going to a restaurant.

Good to know yr parents are living independently. Sounds like u’ve less worries for yr parents & both yr daughters are by yr side. At least for next mth or so. Warm to know u 松了一口气.
