No worry, the outcome is nobody's guess. It is a fair game. NTU ways of conducting the selection processes are logical and systematic. First all applications need to take BMAT and submit the results together with their testimonials and referees letters.

The panel then goes through and screen through all these documents and school result. It then goes through an algorithm process to sort out the best potential candidates to be shortlisted for the interview. Through these stringent selection all shortlisted candidates are given equal chances to present themselves during the interviews.

So no worry, at NTU all of them have fairly equal chances. It all boil down to your interview performances as all earlier results had been screened.

NUS processes similar but minus the BMAT. The way they shortlist the candidates might be much different from NTU. In my view NTU process is fair and clear cut.

Wishes all good day and best outcome.

If rejected , can appeal ?

What is the chance to succeed from appealing ?
Or can we apply medicine again next year ?

Above from a closed med applicants group. Can't vow for legitimacy, authenticity and accuracy. Just sharing with fellow parents. I think at the moment no news is good news.

                Up to now, no news.

My son did not apply the "LKCMedicine Scholarship" during application.
May I know any one of your Son/Daughter has applied, what are the chances and how many NTU Medical students can get this Scholarship.
                Thanks in advance.

Your son can still login to his admission portal to apply for the Scholarship. If shortlisted, he will need to go for an interview and wait for the outcome. If unsuccessful there are other NTU financial aids available for your son to apply.

Don't think both NUS/NTU is accepting appeal for Medicine course once unsuccessful. You can obtain feedback about the unsuccessful outcome by calling them. You still have one more chance to apply again for next academic year. You have to apply it under the Aptitude-based Admissions scheme. For NTU you have to retake your BMAT to reapply also under ABAS.

Following is an extract from NTU FAQs: -

If I am unsuccessful in my application, can I reapply in future admission exercises?

Applicants who have previously attended the MMI will be allowed one chance of reapplication under the Aptitude-based Admissions scheme. The applicants will have to present valid BMAT scores.

If I am unsuccessful in my application, how do I receive feedback on my application?

Applicants may request feedback during the application cycle in which the application is made, by contacting the NTU Office of Admissions quoting their full name and identification number or application number.

Tried, but the Application window has already closed. Got MSG: \" Application for the scholarship is from 21-FEB-2020 to 19-MAR-2020\".

Since the Scholarship application date has passed, why not give them a call to find out if there is still a possibility to apply. Give it a try and call them. Alternatively we can also apply for NTU bursary, it helps to cushion our financial load too.
