      Normally:

      1. SAP schools are hard to get in.
      2. Schools with a strong alumni network are hard to get in.
      3. Schools with affiliation to a good secondary school are hard to get in.
      4. “Full” schools are hard to get in.

School that is all of the above like SNGS is unsurprisingly hard to get in.

True, but also many strong schools without affiliation like Tao Nan, Henry Park etc also hard to get in.

I think SNGS is good as in its not super religious like MGS so non catholics can also feel very much a part of the community, and good Chinese is also a bonus. Lastly, the housing options around SNGS is not as expensive as Bukit Timah so worth a try for people aiming 2C.

Tao Nan is a SAP school - therefore, item 1 above.

Henry Park is a GEP school - which I left out because not relevant to SNGS but yes, it’s another type of schools that normally hard to get into.

              join only,
after VP (admin) have officially allocated your daughter a class, later on.

              on P1 Orientation day itself,
many active P1 parents will be around, chit-chat excitedly, asking who is keen to join the various P1 classes' parents chat group.
Your 2021 P1 daughter will stay (remain) inside this same class for next two years, lower primary (P1 and P2)

P1 Orientation had been scheduled on
              Friday, 20 Novemeber 2020
              8 am to 11 am

              website school calendar is here
              https://chijstnicholasgirls.moe.edu.sg/qql/slot/u569/Primary/Primary%20Info%20hub/Calendar/2020/SNGS%20Pr%202020%20Calendar.pdf

However, due to covid-19 (asymtomatic), not sure if P1 Orientation will still take place this year, as been earlier planned for

                This covid year 2020,

is the final last exiting P6 graduation batch (born 2008) of PSLE Tscore

                Today is August 2020

In another 5 months from now, 2021 January going to arrive soon !

MOE probably announce the new Affliation policy in 2021 Term 1, ie. whether affliation still valid (exists) or not, under the new AL implementation, for students born in year 2009 onwards. This impact all the affliated O-level Secondary schools, including ours

Hi, for p5, is there a non HCL class?

What happens if we don't do HCL? Can we still go back to st nicks secondary after psle?

Are the students in non HCL classes given opportunities to go for math olympiad etc if their math is good enough?

                  Thank you for sharing. 😊

                    1. I am sure there is at least one non-HCL class.
                    2. You do not need HCL to activate affiliation.
                    3. For the MO question, I would imagine yes, but you should ask the school to be sure, esp if it is very impt to you.

Hi any PV for St Nicholas Girls here? Just want to find out if it is a very stringent process to apply to become a PV? is the religion and job of the parent(s) a consideration? Thanks!~
