      i think the ratio this year for P2C is likely 3:1 for both.
      Couldn't be so high for balloting <1km. Unless >1km applied and schools don't call them to withdraw, then it will show on MOE website but truth is they don't not even have a chance to ballot.

        This year was one of the toughest ever… odds for 2B SC<1km was 55% - 47 applicants for 26 spots.

        Basically the uptake in Phase 1 and 2A were unusually high - dunno if its due to covid (people staying further away also choose to play it safe?) or simply that ACS alumni / parents were unusually reproductive in the horse year with baby boys!

        Wouldn’t put it past for 2C odds to drop to 30-40%… since it looks like same number of applicants for half the number of places…

          Hi fellow parents,

          Am seeking out enrichment classes to occupy my kid for the afternoon (after school and before we come home at dinner time) … any recommendations for enrichment classes nearby pls (preferably ones that my helper can bring him to by public transport / short cab ride / walking distance)?

          Alternatively, any feedback on the school based student care centre? Is it mostly playing (like a daycare)? Do they give them any enrichment help with math / English / Chinese?

          Thanks!

            The school-based centre (Epworth) is a basic student care, with no mandatory tuition and homework supervision. You can try Learning Leap, they will fetch the boys from school and send them to the student care. It's more structured with tuition and homework supervision daily, but more expensive.

                Documenting for future aspirants the ratio's for this year for ACSJ (2020)

                2B
                ====
                26 places
                47 SG citizens within 1KM

                2C
                ====
                25 places
                39 sg citizens within 1KM

                advice to future parents: don't waste your chance on ACSJ unless you are within 1KM (even for 2B) 🙂
                ACSJ's amazing principal, newer facilities, and better focus on discipline are making it as popular as ACSP
                Feel extremely blessed to get a spot 🙂
