Perhaps, just to add. I'm an old gal of PHPPS. I live within 1km to Yew Tee Pr, which has been doing well. I'm wondering if it's worth travelling to PHPPS (probably around 30 - 45mins on the school bus) vs a daily walk of 5 - 10 mins to Yew Tee Pr...? People say I'm mad to skip PHPPS since my child can enter the school on my alumni basis.

Would love to hear views from fellow KSPs.... Tks!
Gigue, just FYI, Yew Tee Pri conducted balloting last year, under phase 2C for those staying within 1km. So the risk is there, should u give up an assured place in PHPPS. Then again, the stats may change each year. There was no balloting the year before.

        Hey Luanee,
Thanks for pointing that out! Ya. They require balloting for those <1km. At that point, my MIL was even suggesting for us to try Yew Tee Pri although we are like staying more than 3km away from the school!
So Gigue, the good thing is that it signifies that Yew Tee Pri is getting popular with its consistently good results...but also that you will have to decide if you wanna take this risk.

            Thks for the reply.

But correct me if i'm wrong, girl matured faster n hence pick up faster when in pre-school. However, when the boys are mautred, they tend to out perform. As such, given a all girl school, wouldn't it be better?

Anyway, if both schools are within 1km, hows MGS then? the results seems good šŸ™‚

Hi shuting28, thanks for the weblink - have checked out the school's website.

If I'm not wrong, the website's been changed - the last time I checked, there were no links to results, etc. It is also more comprehensive now. šŸ™‚

Hi Shuting28, called the school. The receptionist said that the school does not conduct open house. 😐 I asked how do parents learn abt the school's learning environment, programmes, etc. She recommended that we write to the school's generic email (phpps@moe.edu.sg), attn to Mdm Hiew to arrange for a visit. Hope this helps! šŸ™‚
