Splitting is one of the methods. Read carefully is it splitting not seed dispersal. Advantage is splitting are typically found close to the parent plant and may not be dispersed to another island.
0 marks for saying it is seed dispersal by wind.. overcrowding as nothing to do with it. This year science may have changed the way how we ask our kids to memorize template answer. Everyone will sure say fight for competition..
1 mark.
asking for Advantages of splitting and not ask about seed dispersal, carry how many marks ? -
I guess the question was roughly " What is the advantage of splitting over wind dispersal?"…based on my DS’s account…

Hi, anybody knows of the answer for the psle 2020 science question about trapping mosquito...
Daughter can not recall the question but said it’s about a person contracting malaria & trapping mosquito.. 😅😅 -

The qn was something like, “A layer of oil is sprayed over stagnant water to prevent mosquitoes from breeding. How does this do so?” Pic for this qn was a mosquito larvae inside some water with oil on TOP.

the question : what’s the advantage of splitting vs wind dispersal.
My best guess: Dispersal through splitting do not rely on the presence of wind. Dispersal by wind need the wind to shake the seed out and hopefully carry the seed to a distance. Dispersal by splitting, the seed is shot out, not just drop down. -

I read 0.73~0.75 multiplier depends on the primary school is on the tougher or more average side.
Is it possible to calculate a range of T score for PSLE based on a rough estimation of marks? More accurate to multiply total by 0.7 or 0.75? wanted to read up on which secondary sch DS might be eligible for.
Just to share experience, I did plan 2 options for this estimate + 10, 2 options based on the estimate, and 2 options based on this estimate - 10.
Ready for the possibilities 😁 good luck 👍🏻 -

My daughter got this wrong. She asked me right away at the school gate after the paper. Your child is right! Good job!!! 👏👏👏
Seed dispersal to prevent overcrowding and reduce competition for nutrients, light, water and space, so that the young plant can develop more healthily.Puk1975\" post_id=\"1997735\" time=\"1601956718\" user_id=\"187443:

Thanks for your encouragement to me always. Appreciate it.
Dont be, whether easy or hard, I think it is child dependent and perspective dependent. Frankly, I think either way (whether you/your child think the papers are easy or hard), one will be worried. Especially if one is not among the majority.Imami\" post_id=\"1997708\" time=\"1601953752\" user_id=\"56961:
I feel scared when i read this forum.
Ds find maths paper tough. :((
I am so worried that all of you find it so easy.
We expected science being the landscape changing paper. My kid just reached home and said he found the paper easy while most of his classmates found it hard. :? My kid is not even among the top science kids in the class!
In any case, it is over. What we should do now is to plan ahead. Think about what is the possible range of scores our kids can achieve and where can our kids aim (which secondary schoo to select). Bearing in mind that the COP may swing a bit more as mentioned by some wise parents.
I am just glad PSLE is over. Can focus on other things, like tidying up the house where there are papers all around. About secondary school subjects, about how to spend these 3 months where cannot travel overseas.
Ya, all sure those students who say easy is from?
TOP class for Math. -
