I was told the boys wear bermudas and pants. Can someone advise what are the dress code in school so that we can decide on how many to buy? Is it often dress down days or full uniform? Thanks for any information.
Full uniform on Mon. The rest of week up to individuals but usually bermudas.

Hi everyone

My son entered EJC this year and just completed the subject combi submission. A bit late to ask now, but anyone know whether EJC History dept / teachers are good? Was also trying to see the % of distinction obtained at the past A levels for each subject but cannot seem to find.

Thanks in advance!

Njc 84.4 is Medium, not Mean
Mean will be about 81-82.
But then 2nd class treatment towards JAE kids in Ejc isnt same story line.
Its a brewing problem college has yet / fails to address issue.

Are you a current student in EJC? How do you know it's \"a brewing problem college has yet / fails to address\"?

the migrant treatment towards JAEs is worsening.
IP 420-450 VS JAE 200+
Jae depriving leadership roles, 2 diff orientations held, many cliques formed amongst IPs etc.

Ejc has potential to grow but this IP/JAE issue is a stumble block.
Welfare JAE is Zero.
My DD is a JIP from one of the feeder schools & she’s currently a J1 in EJC.
Her Orientation group consists of 14 students,4 from SCGS,6 from SNGS & 4 from Catholic High.She doesn’t know anyone from her group, even the students from her own school as they were in different classes.
Once the JAE students enter day after tomorrow, they’ll have another different set of OG for few days.
Once the Subject Combinations results are out on February 5, they will be with their new classmates for few days.My DD’s friends have chosen a different subject combinations.You won’t know whether her classmates from her own Secondary school or OG will be with her once they start the regular lessons.
Cliques might be there in schools like RI(One IP school)or even NJC or RV or DHS for that matter but I feel there is very less chance of that happening in EJC (3 feeder schools)since the students from 3 feeder schools have NEVER interacted with each other except for some symposiums in which they visited the school once or twice.
120 from SCGS
150 from SNGS
150 from CHSS
150-200 JAE students

All of them will be going to different groups & different classes.In my opinion,It will be easier for all the students who are outgoing and sociable to mingle with one another, but others who are not like that will take time to conjoin whether they are JIPs or JAEs.
I don’t know why EJC is always singled out in this issue.

I'm sure those who wanted to know already know but EJC appears to have done quite well this year? Next year (2021 A Level) will include the JAE kids that entered with Science = 7 / Arts = 8 JAE COP (to the extent this matters at all). Continue to watch...

Change 2019 to 2020:
Cohort Size: 610 --> 591
Median: 83 --> 85
UAS 85+: 40% --> 50%
UAS 90: 11% --> 13%
3H2 Distinction: 33.33% --> 40%

*2018 Stats (first year of A Level): Cohort Size = 529, Mean = 85, 3H2 Distinction = 50%

3 IP sec schs form the bulk of cohort 2020, so results quite well.

compare Ejc to the top schools ,this may show up as an area of relative weakness as most of Ejcian students would’ve taken 3 H2 subjects and not 4 H2 with 1-2 H3 subjects.

Its not surprising. 60% ip vs 40% jae, Ejc result is expected.
If Ejc admits more JAE students, we will see a downward trend in results similar to Dhs recent dismay results.
