Yes, should inject IP into NYJC mainly so can improve its std even more n to mid tier JCs. Gd idea.
Do you know what you are talking about? And you are also underestimating JAE students due to your own obsessive bias.lee_yl\" post_id=\"2018089\" time=\"1616303347\" user_id=\"17023:

Perhaps moe should place IP students into mid tier JCs, monitor their performance.
Im sure these JCs stds sure shoot up.
Maybe should inject IP students into NYJC. Else forever NYJC dares not disclose NYJC’s 4H2 performance. Or can help NYJC clinch a couple of PSC Scholarships?
Also, inject instead 80% IP students into EJC, you hoping?
So EJC can clinch PSC Scholarships to satisfy ur own obsessive bias.[/quote]Only you capable of imagining lah.
Inject 60% or 80% not up to you or me to say, it is decided by MOE.
I am not worried for EJC, it’s growing from strength to strength. And in its short span of existence, its students have already clinched a number of PSC Scholarships. -
If NYJC is keen to have a through train IP programme, perhaps it should find Sec Sch partners and propose to MOE. It is inconceivable considering NYJC does have affiliated sec schools.
I’m not overly concerned about EJC’s academic performance at this point - esp if it is close to that of NJC, VJC, DHS - bearing in mind that at the PSLE stage, generally speaking, the IP cohort admitted to CHS/SCGS/SNGS may not always be as strong as that of NJC or DHS.
That said, I am not sure if my DD will adapt to EJC. She’s so happy in her Sec Sch and isn’t looking forward to JC so we’ll see. -

How to turn Nanyang Junior College, into an IP JC ?

It has to start, right after PSLE over.
Currently, Nanyang Junior College take in affliated co-ed Secondary students, from two Chung Cheng High (Main & Yushun) schools.
In order to inject IP students just after PSLE into NYJC, can propose to MOE to
a) convert both Chung Cheng High (Main & Yishun) Express stream O-level track, into IP Secondary schools and then
b) perhaps, invite Crescent Girls Secondary to be a partner school ?
After all, Crescent Girls is a good O-level Secondary school, just like
Cedar Girls Secondary, who have already been \"bethrothed\" to Victoria Secondary, to form the affliated alliance IP-Victoria JC -

Hwa Chong already taken up, \"choped\" all the Nanyang Girls. The girls there \"min hua you zu\", not available anymore.
Hence, Chung Cheng High (both Main & Yishun) Express stream, must look for another potential partner to pair up with, in order to become an IP school, taking in students right after PSLE.
To become an IP (A level Secondary school), minimum expected to be at least
(Tscore 250 or AL 8 points).
Thus,
even if Chung Cheng High (Main & Yishun branches, Express stream track) Psle COP are 24x and Crescent Girls also 24x, and Anderson Secondary (co-ed) also 24x, can consider, convert into IP. The higher end of 24x, the closer towards 250, the better choice
Chung Cheng High (Main), is a SAP school, offer only Express stream, no Normal stream.
For CCHM to convert into an IP Secondary school, if look for common basis background to partner with, if Crescent Girls (Non-SAP school) not suitable, can consider partner
- with Nan Chiau High (PSLE COP also 24x) or
- with Anglican High
because these two are SAP schools, have common background for communication -

AHS standard not too sure.
Doesnt hv to be all SAP.
Scgs isnt SAP but still chosen to be Ejc IP. -
location-wise crescent girls are at the opposite end of the island though lol

Nan Hua can consider as many CGSS & esp NH kids do opt Nyjc regardless of its distance.
Moe shd consider having higher range T Score 24X kids experience IP Education from sec 1.
To prevent Elistism brewing. -
Actually a lot of the 24X kids score well at O levels and want the freedom to choose any JC. In fact, I think a good number of 25X kids are in the O level programme at MGS, SCGS, SNGS and CHS. There are also 25X kids at CCHS, Nan Hua High etc - they opted not to do IP also in part because they want the freedom to choose JCs or Poly courses later on.

But here Im refer to higher range scorers 24X who wish to pursue an IP JC Education from sec 1 but denied as current trend need 250 above to qualify.
Moe hopes to produce potential leaders from RI,HCI.
Latest is Ejc with 3 affialities Sec but cop 252 more.
Given opportunity to experience IP sec in upper tier 24X sec school and later in Nyjc, eventually these kids can too excel just like peers from RI,HCI or EJC.
As in Moe is think'g allowing more kids to enrol under Phase 2C in popular pri schs from next yr or so.
