Hi, really wish to put my son there. But my house is beyond 2km radius. Any chance to get in if I do volunteering job next year?

          Very Sorry !

          Please take note.

St Hilda primary school will not consider any PV (Parent volunteer) applicant, who are staying beyond 2 km

          Because

last year, under Phase 2B itself,

balloting (St Hilda) had already been conducted within \"1\" km for several SC applicants,

as there were many competitors fought for limited vacancies left,
coming from other groups as well,
          such as

          from the (churches and Grassroot)

Even those staying within (1 to 2 km), also zero chance to ballot !

Advised to consider some other primary school, instead. Thank you, for your interest, in St Hilda.

So even if I stay within 1km and would like to register under Phase 2C, it’s a very low chance?

Yes. Referring to the 2018-2020 table for Tampines, it shows red colour which means balloting for <1km:

              https://www.kiasuparents.com/kiasu/forum/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=91621&start=50

The oversubscription rate (within 1km) was 486%, and 359.09% respectively (in 2018 and 2020). Those are the typical odds for popular GEP schools.

You would be in Phase 2A. If the number of applications exceed the number of vacancies, then you would have to ballot.

                      Thank you @kkkcheng168.

To add on, since 2020, St Hilda's has required balloting in Phase 2A2
                      2020 36 applicants for 19 places, balloting >2km
                      2021 33 applicants for 30 places, balloting >2km

Given that Phase 2A is losing 20 places this year, balloting for St Hilda's is pretty much guaranteed. The question is whether it will be even for those staying less than 2km away.
