I took the plunge 2CS, we got in![/quote]Hi, may i know if you got in through balloting through phase 2c(S) within 1 km or 1-2 km or above 2km
I have called, so far, within 2km is safe .SKM mum:

Aren't you wasting your application?
With 11 vacancy and 29 registration as of yesterday, I would assume most, if not all, are < 1km.
Would suggest you contact the school to find out about the latest stats while you can. If you need to reapply elsewhere, you still have time. -
Last year for 2020 application, we got balloted out of MCS in phase 2CS. We were staying outside of 2km and my kid is a Singaporean. SC under 2km last year all got in for 2CS but balloting happened for outside 2km.

Thought you were 1-2km last year? Didn’t check carefully? Risk for SC > 2km in Phase 2CS can be high because there’s really no restriction in who can apply. Many people who may have wanted a girl’s school but were balloted out of CHIJ TP, SNGS, SCGS, would probably have this school as one of their back up option. I think the government has helped in placing limits on PR applicants for this school, otherwise, there would probably be less place for SC in Phase 2CS. -
Hi All! I’m interested in enrolling my daughter in the school. Given that there is no affiliated secondary school, may I find out what are the usual secondary schools that the kids apply to go to after their p6? Thanks!

Marymount used to have a Secondary school section, several years ago. But the Secondary school, had since been closed down, by MOE.
You may read Marymount history here, about her past Secondary school Section.
https://marymountconvent.moe.edu.sg/about-us/our-heritage/history-of-marymount
Today,
P6 graduands of Marymount primary can be admitted to any Secondary school our girls here desire, as long as their past Tscore qualified them to, as long as they were able to meet the admission Cut off point, for the various Secondary schools.
But, if you are asking -
Is there any particular unique Secondary school, that majority of our Marymount PSLE graduates \"cluster \" together, then the answer is
No
Starting wef 2021 ( this year),
all students here will be admitted to Secondary schools, either based on DSA path, or by the ability to meet the Cut-off-point (in terms AL points), in various respective Secondary schools.
By end of Semester 1, that is, by end of 2021 Term 2 (June),
MOE will publish all the Secondary schools' AL Cut off point.
As for your daughter, if she is P6 this year, she would know roughly what's her Total AL score going to be, after her mid-year SA1 (coming May) is over. Alternately, can also refer to her last year 2020 P5 SA2 AL score.
From there,
you can roughly estimate which Secondary schools your girl can apply to, by comparing her P6 SA1 AL score, against the list of published MOE Secondary schools' AL Cut-off-point.
However, note that
this only provide a rough estimate
because
this year 2021 PSLE actual set questions that are going to come out,
can be (easier or more tricky)
than those August Prelim P6 SA2 questions standard, set by Marymount primary school. -

Thank you for your reply! My daughter is actually in k2 and because I'm an alumni from a primary school with an affiliated secondary school.. Yet I'm very keen on Marymount, I was curious where the girls usually go to after primary school. I would expect schools of similar values like Chijs or other mission schools but it seems like it's not the case! Thanks for your reply!

Entry to secondary schools isn’t by virtue of values, but t-score (or in future, AL score). Whether students choose to go to schools with similar values like CHIJ will really depend on their results. I think it’s fair to assume the top students from MCS will find themselves in RGS, SNGS or SCGS, ie most people will choose based on t-score COP than opting for similar values to their primary school.

Hello all!
I’ve decided with the missus to sign our kid up for MCS as it seems they encourage non-academic development too.
1. Can anyone shed some light on the CCA offering and the facilities in general? I am struggling to find pictures of the school and its facilities nor do they allow visits to ‘check it out’.
2. What is the culture and diversity at the school? Nationality mix, discipline, strictness, stress levels, etc…
3. How is the Chinese education system? Imma banana papa and was hoping the school can solve this for me!
Appreciate some insights from those who are familiar or have kids in MCS!
Thanks! -
My friend’s P5 daughter in CHIJ TPY received a hard copy letter (from St Nick’s principal) inviting them to St Nick’s e-open house on 24th April. I wonder whether MCS girls received it too?

Hi there! Can i know from a parent who got MCS through Phase 2CS? How do you find the school , has your expectation changed? Im asking coz usually people choose MCS after they lose their chance in Chij schools.
Im thinking of my odds also. Heard from many people that the school is a hidden Gem. Even though no affiliation, girls are good students and go to good schools.
