      M or P??

I chose P bec I just want to get it done asap and the CC nearest to my home offers it.
My nearest cc is P , I chose coz no need trvel far n I can wait a while, net week plus , note Long too smile:

I chose based on date. Don't see our cc name there. So just choose any place not too far. And I saw 21days to next appt, I think P based on that. The first dosage usually not much effect and the 2nd one maybe need expect more yeah.. the 2nd dosage is during school holiday so that's ok.

        https://www.straitstimes.com/opinion/forum/forum-covid-19-vaccination-invite-is-on-first-come-first-served-basis

Forum: Covid-19 vaccination invite is on first-come, first-served basis
        PUBLISHED4 HOURS AGO
        FACEBOOKTWITTER
We thank Mrs Yap Tai Perng for her feedback (How is registration for Covid-19 vaccination managed?, April 8).

Upon registering online via vaccine.gov.sg, eligible individuals aged 45 to 59 years old will receive an acknowledgement SMS.

A separate SMS with a personalised booking link will then be progressively sent out to invite these individuals on a first-come, first-served basis, based on time of registration, to make their vaccination appointments.

Our supply of vaccines remains limited by vaccine manufacturers' ability to deliver, given the high levels of global demand.

We seek everyone's understanding that slots for vaccination are being made available progressively as more supplies arrive, and we will send out personalised booking links to the registrants as soon as there are vacant slots available for booking.

We expect that eligible individuals in the 45-59 age group who had registered interest should receive the booking links by the middle of next month, and they can expect a booking slot by early June.

As at yesterday, about 200,000 people in the 45-59 age group are on our holding list.

For those who had registered at the end of last month, we expect to be able to send them the booking links within the next two weeks.

For those who registered earlier this month, they should receive the booking links by around the end of the month. Those who registered more recently will accordingly receive their booking links early next month.

For Singapore citizens and permanent residents who have more urgent needs, such as to travel overseas on compassionate grounds, or for employment or study purposes where working or studying remotely is not an option, they may make an appeal for earlier vaccination.

We will consider such requests on a case-by-case basis, subject to the availability of vaccines.

We thank everyone for their patience.

We will continue to ensure that we provide a smooth and convenient Covid-19 vaccination experience as we work towards vaccinating all medically eligible Singapore residents by the end of the year.

Had my 1st dose of Moderna vaccine at Kolam Ayer CC today. Before you register, the staff said “We offer Moderna vaccine”.

Quite a crowd on a weekday afternoon but the procedure was quite smooth. From registration to vaccination, it took less than 20 minutes 👍👍.
No freebies, just a small bottle of mineral water 😅😭😭

Same (no freebies) as Radin Mas, then! And I refused the bottle of water because I always carry my own!

wonder whether the staff action is triggered by past experience of people refusing to take the jab at the jab station after seeing that it is Moderna :scratchhead: :yikes: :faint:

I think they would show BioNTech to the vaxxer before jabbing too, no? Thought it's a SOP? Read some anecdotes by Taiwanese that their nurse would show them the AstraZeneca vial to confirm they were taking AZ. Am sure Malaysia would do likewise since they have so many brands.

Both M and P are top-grade. I trust our HSA. Not sure why any 45-59 yr-old would be stumped or fuss about it, unless they wanted the 1st-2nd dose gap to be shorter?

The UK has started using Moderna as AZ is giving some Brit younger vaxxers blood clots. US is also having some issues with J&J.
With another big country now switching to Moderna, we just hope we don't get any M or P delays for the next age group.

Singapore has been allocated 244,800 (as of 2 Mar WHO update) AstraZeneca doses (manufactured by South Korea BioScience, not Serum Institute of India) from COVAX facility too. Maybe AZ, if authorised by HSA, can be offered to those who want more options? Or the later age batches if M and P run low in supply?

HK is trying to test our Transport Minister's mettle who is earmarked for 4G PM post?! :rotflmao:

                      https://www.todayonline.com/singapore/hong-kong-wants-people-leaving-singapore-under-planned-air-travel-bubble-be-vaccinated

Hong Kong’s chief executive Carrie Lam said on Tuesday (April 13) that it is proposing to the Singapore Government that Hong Kong travellers be “fully vaccinated” before they make use of the proposed air travel bubble between the two cities.
Mrs Lam said at a media briefing in Hong Kong: “It's actually enhanced safety, but (the Singapore Government) will not impose such a requirement on travellers from Hong Kong within this air travel bubble.

So you mean we won't impose on such a requirement on travellers from HK?

Hmm, somehow I get the feeling they are making things difficult for us to rebound as an aviation hub... So far, HK has only completed 800K doses, and those are mainly the elderly and frontliners. So we probably need to wait for some time before the fully vaccinated HKrs can be granted permission by their HK govt to visit Singapore. And as for us, we haven't covered all 45-59 yet, so the fully vaccinated Singaporeans who are eligible to visit HK are not high.

I think they should just burst the bubble once and for all. Bubble means no need to be vaccinated or quarantined.

HKIA's ban on SIA would end on 16 April.

The HK vaccinated requirement only applies to HKers coming to Singapore under the green lane. It does not require Singaporean to be vaccinated to visit HK under the green lane.
