Had my 1st dose of Moderna vaccine at Kolam Ayer CC today. Before you register, the staff said “We offer Moderna vaccine”.
Quite a crowd on a weekday afternoon but the procedure was quite smooth. From registration to vaccination, it took less than 20 minutes 👍👍.
No freebies, just a small bottle of mineral water 😅😭😭 -

Same (no freebies) as Radin Mas, then! And I refused the bottle of water because I always carry my own!

wonder whether the staff action is triggered by past experience of people refusing to take the jab at the jab station after seeing that it is Moderna :scratchhead: :yikes: :faint:

I think they would show BioNTech to the vaxxer before jabbing too, no? Thought it's a SOP? Read some anecdotes by Taiwanese that their nurse would show them the AstraZeneca vial to confirm they were taking AZ. Am sure Malaysia would do likewise since they have so many brands.
Both M and P are top-grade. I trust our HSA. Not sure why any 45-59 yr-old would be stumped or fuss about it, unless they wanted the 1st-2nd dose gap to be shorter?
The UK has started using Moderna as AZ is giving some Brit younger vaxxers blood clots. US is also having some issues with J&J.
With another big country now switching to Moderna, we just hope we don't get any M or P delays for the next age group.
Singapore has been allocated 244,800 (as of 2 Mar WHO update) AstraZeneca doses (manufactured by South Korea BioScience, not Serum Institute of India) from COVAX facility too. Maybe AZ, if authorised by HSA, can be offered to those who want more options? Or the later age batches if M and P run low in supply?

HK is trying to test our Transport Minister's mettle who is earmarked for 4G PM post?! :rotflmao:

Hong Kong’s chief executive Carrie Lam said on Tuesday (April 13) that it is proposing to the Singapore Government that Hong Kong travellers be “fully vaccinated” before they make use of the proposed air travel bubble between the two cities.
Mrs Lam said at a media briefing in Hong Kong: “It's actually enhanced safety, but (the Singapore Government) will not impose such a requirement on travellers from Hong Kong within this air travel bubble.
So you mean we won't impose on such a requirement on travellers from HK?
Hmm, somehow I get the feeling they are making things difficult for us to rebound as an aviation hub... So far, HK has only completed 800K doses, and those are mainly the elderly and frontliners. So we probably need to wait for some time before the fully vaccinated HKrs can be granted permission by their HK govt to visit Singapore. And as for us, we haven't covered all 45-59 yet, so the fully vaccinated Singaporeans who are eligible to visit HK are not high.
I think they should just burst the bubble once and for all. Bubble means no need to be vaccinated or quarantined.
HKIA's ban on SIA would end on 16 April. -

The HK vaccinated requirement only applies to HKers coming to Singapore under the green lane. It does not require Singaporean to be vaccinated to visit HK under the green lane. -
