Hi,
anyone out there has sent their kids to Sengkang Methodist Church Kindergarten⦠Care to share on their K1/K2 curriculum and the teachers? Does the school prepare the child well for P1? -
Redtango:
I know of a few mothers who send their child to Carpe Diem, seems not bad. The others i have not heard of.[Moderator's note: Topics merged.]
Hi, I am currently looking for CC for my daughter. Would appreciate some comments on the following CC to facilitate my selection :
1) Little village on the grange
2) Winchester Pre School Pte Lte
3) Cherie Hearts at Sengkang Sports Complex
4) Carpe Diem at Punggol
5) Character Montessori at Punggol or Pasir Ris
:?
or if you know of any good ones around Punggol/Sengkang, do let me know too.
There montessori, if its the next to St's Joseph Convent, its had some bad feedbacks. If its the one behind St's Anne Church along Punggol Road, heard that its quite good. -
Just to update, my child is at tumbletots at Punggol Plaza, next year they will start a new Kindergarten Class K1. They are using the syllabus from the Sembawang branch which is MCYS registered.
In any case, anyone looking for Kindergarten ard this area. -
Hi parents,
My son graduated from the childcare last year. He had been with the centre for 4+yrs. Never regretted the decision at all. Most of the parents had same feedback. The centre has prepared the children very well for Primary 1, in terms of academic and social skills.
The syllabus is very advanced. You may pay the centre a visit to check it out and talk to the principal for more information. -
Hi, when my boy turns 18months, I am thinking of sending him to something like enrichment courses for a few times a week for a few hours each time. Those type that I can leave him there. Are there any such schools around in SK area?
-
Hi...
Not sure about enrichment centres in SK, but I do know that Shekinah has a pre-school enrichment centre in Punggol Plaza
-
what exactly do you like about it? How are the Principal n teachers there like?

If you're looking for Kindergarden, i think Yio Chu Kang Chapel has good comment. Too bad that I can't cause I need a full day care centre.
My elder son was in Pre-schooler at Jln Tani. The CC is big and i would say it's very academy. I would recommend only for K2 level, maybe K1 if you are KS
I didn't enrol my younger (4yo) with them but rather looked for another centre because I think he is still too young for academy. A fun learning enviroment is what I asked for his age.
Good luck in your searching -

No. My elder is in P1 now. He was with Pre-schooler last year in 2008. He had 15 classmates but there were 2 classes for K2 level = 30 students occupied the open space at 2nd floor!
Talking abt HFMD, last year they had more than 15 cases all in!!! I stopped my son from going almost 2 weeks or more because I'm in total freak about this widely spread disease! He is blessed though.. didnt get contacted and I always update him about the HFMD cases, get him understand how painful it will be if he get contacted with HFMD. Now he is at P1, he will come back update me if his school got any HFMD. He kind of get the idea that he has to protect his body and always watch his own cleanliness.
I visited your son CC, I think you did mentioned here last year end while I was looking around for my younger. I've settled him at philips ave and no HFMD cases so far **touch wood**
